Got this phone call yesterday 11/6/11. The caller is telling my husband that he is a cousin from mexico on his way to come and see him. He tells him to guess who he is and when my husband gave a fake name he said ya you guessed me right. This is so scary... these people then call my husbands family in Mexico and tell them that they are holding my husband for ransom!! Thank god we contacted our family before they pulled out their life savings to help my husband. We get these calls every 6 mo or so. I called the operator and she told my 55 from the 554 area code is either Mexico City or Brazil. I hope this post will help answer someones questions....im so thankful that all of you posted other wise i would have not found this information that matched ours. God bless be safe.
