Does anyone know who this is?

i got a call from this person, Daniel something (couldn't understand him), saying to call him back at this number.  Called back and he said I have a criminal charge against me, blah, blah, blah.  He could not offer any information about the said "company" I owed but knew the last 4 of my social, my work phone number, cell phone number and the last 4 of my bank account. too scary how much info they know about you. IT'S A SCAM!!! I don't owe anyone money that isn't getting paid, so I know it's a scam.

these people posted my info on 800 notes under my wifes name(that is fraud) the BBB in california and oklahoma are investigating this number and C williams(Daniel Peters)and i will be filing charges on them. Daniel Peters called and made fun of my last name and i have it recorded. And i have recorded all of my phone calls with them.

my husband just got a call from this number and they told him all the same stuff as all the others above they told him that they were going to come to oklahoma and file judgment on him if he did not pay 50% today and 50% on the 30th and that they could not give him any info on what company it was then they told him that they were with fast cash international. and that he would be responsible for his own bail bonds and all of this i was scammed last year with the same kind of thing and luckily i found out before i paid them and so we were on to them before they got any info out of him.

I just got a call from "Daniel Peters". This is total BS, I told him i will have my lawyer call him to discuss this, and he hung up. It is unbelievable what people will do for money, just to let you know, these guys are not even in this country, it is all computerized.

I too was given the same threat. I told him that accoring to the Federal Freedom Debt Trade Act (yes, it's real), IF i owed any money, they would have to notify me in writing 5 business days before contacting me by phone. Also, assuming I did owe money to someone, it would be a civil case, not criminial. Let the scammers know that you will take their crap! Notify the FTC and the BBB. When I told this "Daniel" that I was going to do that, he hung up on me.

I freaked out too, at first, But the more you talk to this IDIOT!!!!! The more I have learned it is absolutley a SCAM!!! Dont give these A******s a bit of info. I work for a bank and I freaked out, because of the threat of notifying my employer, but in my personal investigation, I have figured out this B***h has contracted my info and are using it aginst me for their benefit!!!! These B******s are one more lesson in giving personal info on the INTERNET. Dont do it and dont cave to their BS!!!!

I just got the same exact call that Cheryl did except his name was Jason Brown on the phone and Jason Lawrence when I spoke to him.  He said I also took out a payday loan in September 09 and that I never paid it back.  He said his company's name is Attorney and Legal Services from Irvine, CA.  He spoke to an attorney to see if they would accept a 50% payment tomorrow and 50% the week after and this attorney "Jim Smith" ok'd it with a letter stating my credit card information, and a copy of my drivers license or Social Security Card.  It is scary because he said I was being sued and would issue papers against me and have the police pick me up and had my address.  Said if I went to court it would be $8,484.07.  They could not provide any details to me until payment was received.  They were also going to contact my employer about my "activities".  I'm scared but do believe this is a SCAM.  I will also report this to the local police and the BBB.

Oh yeah, I just checked the message this "Daniel Peters" left of my cell phone. He expresses how disrespectful I was in asking for him to fax me proof of the debt, saying I never signed papers for this payday loan so they don't have any papers, however, not only are they serving me papers but they are going to notify my employer and give them the same papers so they know about "my activities"! I just blocked my number and called "Daniel" back again and this time he hung up on me!!!! I did get to tell him I WILL REPORT THIS SCAM TO THE BBB, cause thats how we roll in the USA!!!!!!

Just call them back and calmly insist that they take you off their call list. As soon as I said the word "scam" they hung up on me. Completely not legit, do not under any circumstances give them other info. No one is suing you, ABSOLUTELY do not give them your SSN.

I got a call today from "Daniel Peters" also at my work (twice) and on my cell phone (three) times within less than an hour. I did call him back and was given the same threat!!!

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS GUY NAMED "DANIEL PETERS" AT MY WORK AND ON MY CELL PHONE. HE LEFT A MESSAGE STATING THAT I OR MY ATTORNEY NEEDED TO CALL HIM BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HE ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS A LAWSUIT AGAINST ME ABOUT AN UNPAID PAYDAY LOAN BACK IN SEPT. OF 09. I DID NOT TAKE OUT A PAYDAY LOAN IN 2009. IT IS A COMPANY CALL FIRST CASH INTERNATIONAL. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!! DO NOT PICK THIS CALL UP OR CALL THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO SCARE YOU INTO GIVING THEM MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a message at my job saying the same thing....... Does anyone know who this is? I called back and was left on hold with NO ANSWER.

yes i did today. he ended call "i wish you luck on how this will unfold for you" Sounds ominious and threatening.
