I received a call from this number, and they would not give me any information as to why they were calling and very rude. They only wanted to talk to my lawyer or spouse. Every time I called them back they just hung up on me.

Received a call from 559-426-5618 as well as 925-232-0808, as well as 000000000 and unknown numbers numerous times a day.  THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. It will be one of two indian guys with various names, mine were Martin and Josh.  They may have your SSN or other information if you listed it on a payday website (i used 100 day loans), which I was dumb enough to do.  These guys likely got your information from a payday website, I used 100 day loans, don't use them either. If you tell them that it is ILLEGAL for an attorney or police officer to contact you that usually makes them swear and then hang up.  If you are ever in legal trouble you will not find out about it from a phone call. No attorney can ever call you or they could lose their license to practice, although I doubt these guys are actually lawyers.  I filed a report with the FTC and they advised me how to be safe.

I recieved a call on May 17th from an Indian man who said I needed an attorney, and his company was pressing charges against me for unpaid loans.  I contacted a detective here where I live who tracked down his address, and the detective advised me this is a scam also.  When I asked to be connected to a supervisor, the Indian man connected me to another man who told me to 'suck his d...', and 'rot in jail', and 'I better get an attorney'.  Don't worry folks, these losers have already slipped up and they don't realize it.

i dont know who they are, they say they are gonna cal;l my job, i need to get a lawyer, i am clueless to who they are

They keep calling my cell phone, friends and family, my job and they won't stop. I continue to answer ask them what it's about and if I could speak to someone who speaks better English. They refused and hung up on me. I will be contacting my local police department and report them. Not only is it an annoyance, it's an embarassment to my job. It looks like I'm irresponsible with my bills.

These people are outrageous!! they have all my information and will not stop calling is there a report we can make? to whom and where?
Please help, these people want free money..... and then change thier number!! its the 3rd time they call me from 6 diffrent numbers they all have accents

Received a call from 559-426-5618 at my place of employment stating that there was a lawsuit against me for felony fraud charges for not paying back the payday advance that I received.  At first I honestly thought it was true until I called Cash Net USA which I did borrow from.  They stated my account was in good standing and that it was a scam.  They told me that they would follow up with an investigation to the Federal Trade Commission and the BBB.  In the meantime I called my local police department and the FBI fraud department.  They told me to get an identity alert on my credit reports and to get lifelock for identity theft.

We received a call saying we owed for a debt that was fictitious.  This was reported to the Police for direction on stopping such calls.  This scam appears to be ran by an Indian group that is looking for some easy money.  They will not tell you who holds the original debt and they have taken over the legal processing of the collection.  They are rude and will end the conversation with we'll see you in court.  They are trying to scare you.  Don't pay!

I would report it.  Did they threaten you in anyway?  They called my cell phone this morning and I yelled at them, told them that yesterday when they called my place of employment they were told not to contact me again and I told them that I knew they were a scam.  I then told the guy that I am going to report him and his terrorist friends.  He then threatened to call my employer to which I told him to be my guest that my employer is aware of this scam and that they would not get anywhere.  I then told them that I was going to report him as a terrorist and he got upset and started yelling at me in another language to which I hung up and they did not call back nor did they call my place of employment.

I received the same calls on my cell phone and at my place of employment from a guy saying his name was Eric Watkins and he was with an attorney's office.  I asked which office and he said it so fast I asked him to repeat it and then I asked for the phone number as well which he gave me. I think told him that he is not to contact me here at my place of employment ever again and that he was a scammer and that I was reporting him.  Then I hung up.  He called right back and asked why did you hang up. I hung up again.  He called back a third time and I did not answer the phone I just hung it up as soon as I heard the noise.

He called back again and asked for the manager I told him that we did not have a manager he then asked to speak to my supervisor and I told him that I was the supervisor and he said well then you must be the manager as well.  I said no we do not have a manager he told me that is not possible.  I then told him that he was not to call here again and that i would be reporting him.  He told me that he has every right to call me as many times per day as he wants.  I told him that he does not under any law and that if he did if he did I would be pressing charges.  He called me a few names and hung up.

I just recieved a call from 559-426-5618 and they told me I was going to be arrested for being a felon of steeling money from a pay day loan company. I got very mean with these people because they told me that they were lawyers. I was scared to death and a bit emotional about the situation since I have never been in trouble before. Do Not fall these people. I called my nearest police department about these people.

According to what I could understand from this indian accented person, I was supposedly being arrested for fraud charges in regard to a payday loan I supposedly took out. He threatened to call my job and that I would lose my employment there. I thought something was funny so I called the police. The officer that came called the number back and the guy answered yo!!! He hung up when the officer asked if this was a collection agency.

I received a call from 559-426-5618 saying that they are are going to arrest me on thursday for fraud charges from some payday loan. They were indian speaking and when I had the police call them the guy answered the phone yo. The officer asked where he was from he said LTM and then hung up when he was asked if it was a collection agency.

Got a phone call from 559-426-5618 stating they were a law firm that was going to file a criminal lawsuit againest me for fraud and other things. The first person I spoke to was named Craig Miller, then spoke to a William Fox, and lastely James Anderson. I"m pretty sure these weren't their names because all of them had Indian accents. They stated that I owed $1400 and that I could settle if I would give them my debit card information for $943. When I asked for more information they were rude. finally they gave me the companies name that they are "supposedly" representing, Cash Net USA. When I called them they didn't have me on file and stated that they didn't have a law firm that was representing them.

These same people have contacted my sister and has called my employer. I spoke to my attorney and they stated to not answer the phone when they call and that they would handle it.

He has called me several times from India. I have read many stories and seen reporting on this scam recently on NBC. I am so past the point of "annoyed." I have reported the phones numbers, played back the recorded message, everything but effin; mimed what is happening to both by AG, the FTC, FCC by phone company, and re-registered on the Do Not Call.

This morning when I got a call from "Detective Mack", I had such fun messing with him! Why not - the govt, phone companies, eyc. don't give two s**ts! Anyway, I am gald I did. Get This! So, Detective Curry calls and asks to speak to a "Scott Greene". I play along and say, this is HE (right off, because I use the correct pronoun "He" throws "Det. Script Boy" off his game). Mack continues, "Yes, Scott this is Det. Big Mack, I am calling to inform you that a - he uses my real name - has been using your ID to commit fraudulent acts! Holy Cow! (I said), do you have in custody right now? Did he confess? (Det, Mack Stuttering now says: "Unfortunately no! I cut him off right there and "Well, WTF are you bothering me for! Don't call me you until you catch the SOB and have him custody!" SLAM! -

As I said earlier, the only way these scam will stop is if we go back to using "smoke signals!" As far as I am concerned - I have no debts. I refuse to use credits cards, only my debit card, If I really want something, I'll save up for it. Enough is enough! When Wall Street got bailed out, so did we! So if they caljust give them Obama's number! He wrote the check! I have copies!

contacted our local police department this is a scam from hackers who stole payday loan information. The best thing you can do is contact your local police so they can contact CA police to launch a criminal charge against the hackers. This guy will call your work and harass you each day for awhile and then stop and do it again under a new phone number or prepaid cellphone. Absolutely do NOT give him any info and watch your credit reports as this hacker has social security numbers for people he calls.

Called my son to say that I had defaulted on a note he co-signed! My son has cosigned no loan, had a foreign sccent that was not readily understandable. Sounds like a scam to me, beware!

i got a call today on my job from this number and the oerson stated tht his name was derek. he sound foriegn and i could not understand he said. i finally begin questioning him and he hung up.  this is the same person tht tried calling me 2 months ago but used a different name.  can u say SCAMz

I received a call from Christopher Hawkins from  Mark Brown and Assoc. telling me that my ss#  was under investigation for fraud and terrorism? I asked if they were accusing me of being a terrorist, Christopher Hawkins stummbled and continued reading off of a script. I asked for their address and phone number which he ignored and continued reading. I finally said, you need to send me something in writting, that is the law once you do I will contact my attorney and he will speak to you, in the mean time do not call me or my work number, I have put you on report and if you do I will press charges against you, the guy hung up.  This appears to be a scam. I would advise not to verify or give out any information to these people.

Our relatives received phone calls from someone in india(?) claiming we have taken out a loan and now it is going to collections and  we had listed them as references. No such loan exists and we certainly didnt tell anyone their numbers how do we catch them?when we called the number they hung up on us .
