Received this email reply to a Craigslist ad:

"Could you please text me at (559)-997-6481  if you still have it"

Always seems fishy to me when there is no mention of the item details in the email body...

Scam got one here in pcola Jake about my car

He just replied to my craigslist.
Now He wants a bike from PA.

He just called me too!
About a camper van I have for sale!!!!!!

Same guy is still at it, don't do it!

Scam everything above he did the same to me. I live in Florida and selling my RC51 on craigslist. As soon as I saw send me your Paypal and email blocked his # what an a**, how stupid do these people think we are lol

This website is so helpful in identifying the numerous scammers on the internet. It has saved me on numerous occasions from wasting anymore time with these scum bags....  Thanks everyone and keep up the good work....

Concerning this number:   this guy is still at it..... I am in Louisiana and just as Joe did
I listed my RV.....  and it clearly states due to the numerous scammers online, I will not reply to email or texts....  I guess this idiot can't read because he sends me an email stating, "Could you please text me at (559) 997-6481 if you still have it."...  Go figure!

Got the email asking if I still had motorhome that was posted on  craigslist. He wanted me to text back. said his name was thomas. thanks for these posts. i didnt reply.

Received same message and looked it up and confirmed with this site that it is a scam. Thanks everyone, i am in CO.

Just got the same type of message from this number from an ad on Craigs List.  The person said his name was Thomas and to text him at 559-977-6481.  Also another email asking for my personal email address.

Yup, same here.  Have MC on Craigslist in Texas, and "Jake" e-mailed me this morning with that same number, asking that I text him back.

Received a text if camper was still available.  I replied yes then the scammer (JAKE) wrote:

Hi am with the U.S. Navy currently station in Nas Lemoore, CA.  so get back to me with its present condition.  Due to the hectic nature of my job, the only mode of payment that best suit this transaction is Paypal therefore I have made arrangement with my agent to come pick it up when pament have been clear in your account so I would want you to get back to me with your pay pal email address for me to make payment to you and perhaps, your pick up address so I can have my agent to schedule pick up.

this guy answered my ad on craigslist  and asked me to text him "jake", pretty sure its a scam!!

Thanks everyone. It didn't sound legit so I googled it. I got the same message as Joe. Evidently at the same time.

I'm listing an RV in MI.  My craigslist ad clearly states I will not reply to email or texts.  He sent me an anonymous email from "Jake" stating, "Could you please text me at (559) 997-6481 if you still have it."

Same for us.  This guy's number is all over the internet for scams off of craigslist.

I received the same email for Jake asking me to text him.  This isn't real, it a scam.

Just got the same response from Jake, an obvious scam!

And whatever you are selling is the only collateral you should eer give. Never give money to get money

Same in ky. Selling truck and got the same email. I replied back asking if he was stupid or something. Always search email addresses and phone numbers on google and always fill out these boards wih issues so we can protect each other

Got the same text in response to my auto for sale ad in Florida. Deleted his text without responding. Sounds like a scam to me. Can't be bothered with scammers. Be careful when you place an ad on Craigslist, so many people out there trying to rip you off...beware!

Got the same message as Maryland. I posted a vehicle in the Virginia area but his phone number is from California. Not falling for this one. Be careful!
