Came home from the store today, message on machine stated that my federal credit union debit card was frozen.  I do not have a federal credit union debit card.  They had asked me to press 1 on the message but that was it.  The call was from out of the area, with a phone number on caller ID as 6666.  Sounds like a scam to me.  I figure I had a problem with any of my accounts certainly a robotic message would not be left on my machine due to privacy issues.

This is the first call that I have ever recieved on my cell phone from someone I do not know so I was suspicious.  When I said Hello the automated call stated "Your debit card has been inactivated".  I hung up before I could hear more.

I do not have a debit card, so I knew it did not apply to me anyway.

I just received a call from this number, claiming to be from Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, telling that my debit card had been locked out. I have never even had an account at TRFCU, so I hung up immediately and contacted TRFCU that someone was trying to run a scam using their name. I have also notified the FBI.

If you do get a call from this number, DO NOT press any buttons except to end your call. Immediately contact the financial institution they say they represent, as well as calling your local police department or the FBI. (Find your local FBI office by going to http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm or submit your tip at https://tips.fbi.gov/.)

They tried to pull this on me last night. This time they were representing the Hanscom Federal Credit Union, which is odd because that's at the Air Force Base in MA, and the 561 area code is in Boca Raton, Florida. They said the usual s***, blah-blah-blah, your debit card is frozen, then they started to give me dialing options. As they were giving the second option, the voice suddenly cut out. I hung up shortly after. Don't fall for this b***s***.

Me too, bad computer generated voice claiming my ATM debit card from Hanscom Federal Credit Union had been frozen due to suspicious activity and to press 1 to unfreeze my ATM card. Don't have an account with Hanscom Federal Credit Union - DOH! Hung up - of course - and immediately called Hanscom Federal Credit Union to report their bank name was being used in a Phishing scam. Gave Hanscom  FCU this phone number too.

Badly recorded (and barely audible) computer-generated woman's voice saying my debit card has been frozen. Press 1 for something, and 2 for something else. (I couldn't really hear my choices.)  I hung up. If they mentioned a bank or credit card name, I couldn't understand/hear it.  I'm not sure how they got my number, since it's a cell phone that I don't use for anything but personal contacts.

Like others, the call came in claiming to be from a local credit union.  Same story....card is deactivated, press 1.  Good idea to pass the info along to the financial institution mentioned if there's one near.

Just got a call from this number (on my cell). Very badly done electronic voice saying my Evergreen Bank card has been deactivated, press 1 to fix 2 to delete. I pressed 1 and they then want a 16 digit account number. Since I have no account I typed 111111 etc and it said bad acct number. sigh. I kept screwing with numbers and it eventually hung up on me. Pressing o does nothing. Obviously scammers though I have no idea how they can make money asking us for nonsense numbers.

I have just opened a line on sipgate.com I have not given the number out to anyone. I received a voice mail as an automated voice saying there was an error in the information in my data card. And that i needed to press 1 to enter new information for a new card... i think they calmed to be Evergreen Bank, i don't have any cards anywhere.

I don't know how they got this number, gotta be just random numbers.

This is an automatic recording call that states your "SunTrust card is invalid and has been terminated, please press 1 to activate your card and 2 to delete." Do not press anything and hang up immediately. When dialing back the number a fast talking male's voice message states, "you've reach the Consumer Debt Hotline, sorry no one is available to take your call and if you leave your name and number someone will call you back" then the recording hangs up. Do Not Leave Any Messages or Information. This is a setup. A scam.
