I received the same email as everyone else here.  I have received these in the past too.  I find it best to just ignore them and they seem to go away.  You have to be physically served with a court date, they cannot come and arrest you, besides the company you owe money to would have tried to contact you first and make payment arrangments on the debt.  This is such B.S Scam, and they pray on people freaking out.
Email them back if you want just stupid stuff and see what kind of response you get, if anything its good for a laugh.

I got an email from ace cash services <collection.incorp@acsincorporation.org> yesterday and one from ACS Inc <acs.legaldept.incorporation@gmail.com> today.  They were very similar, but not identical.  ADD THESE TO YOUR SPAM FILTER!!!  I have reported both incidents.  I knew it was a scam, but since I had a payday loan with Ace Cash Express (which I paid off early thank you very much - lol) about a year ago, I called a local  branch to confirm I did not owe them anything and they asked me to fax them a copy of the emails so they could see what the header looked like and see what the content was.  For info, the manager told me that legitimate ACE Cash Express offices don't have the ability to send emails like this (no open internet connections to send emails), that any collections would happen via registered mail and any court documents would be served through a court.  It is not legal to "serve" notices to people via email or phone.  It has to be done in person.

Yep, I just got the same bull s*** message on my phone as well, Telling me I will be charged in seven days, I get these all the time and have been sense I applied for a payday loan a few years ago. I did get a small loan and paid it back, but it was not through this company and currently not 955. dollars, First of all Florida law does not allow anyone to receive a payday loan for more then 500.00 and you are only allow one by law. So I can tell you that this is so false it is not even funny. If any company is giving payday loans in Florida then they are violating Florida Law themselves and can be charged with a felony. Oh, by the way I just notice our case file was the same, so it looks like we will go to jail together. Oh wait, there is not such thing as a debtors prison. Sorry.

Also ask them tins of questions like what city are You calling from, the time there, the weather and the states capital. They hate when You ask because they know Your on to their scam. Seriously people don't be afraid of them, make them afraid of You. Do as I say, it really does work and annoys them and gives them their medicine back.

Total Outstanding: - $955.75

Case File Transferred: - July 2013

Loan Company: - ACS INC.

As we put your SSN into our National Checking Database System, we found that you have been never charged for a fraud activity & that is the reason Court has decided to give you a chance to take care of this issue outside the Court without having a report on your Credit History and SSN. Now if you want to take care of this issue than you have to pay an out of Court Restitution Amount which includes the late payment charges, penalty charges, interest rate on the loan amount and actual loan amount = Restitution Amount which is $955.75 or else the lawsuit amount which is about $4203.86 WILL BE DOWNLOADED AGAINST YOU. If you want to settle this matter today itself, then you can get some percent deduction on the Restitution Amount and you can take care of this issue by making the payment of the Settlement Amount today. You have to send us a promissory note to stop your case file temporarily out of the court house. So get back to us ASAP.

We are very sorry to say that you are going to be legally prosecuted in the Court House within seven days. Your SSN is put on hold by the US Government, so before the legal charges get really serious against you, we are notifying you about these legal charges. But as we were not able to reach you so we are sending you a final notification Email. Your case file#B-000116; SI-WC-7310; and since it?s a legal matter you will need our help, so call us right now to make a payment and freeze down this case.

Now, this means a few things for you. If you are under any state probation or payroll we need you to inform your reporting officer or manager about what you have done in the past and what would be the consequences once the case has been downloaded and executed in your name. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of the date on this letter, we will be compelled to seek legal representation from our in-house attorney. We reserve the right to begin litigation for intent to commit wire fraud under the pretense of refusing to repay a debt committed to, by use of the internet. I replied to their email like this-
F*^K YOU!!!!!
They replied-
GO F*^K YOUR SELF!!!!!!!
I replied-
Now if that isn't a violation on debt collections I don't know what is. In case you didn't get the notice, my chapter 7 was granted. And I can be as rude as I want but you (if you are a pro) do have certain rules to go by. Look them up, why don't you, dearie?

For the record, I didn't take out a payday loan. And I didn't file a chapter 7. But it was one of those days and the replies did give me a chuckle. And I have never heard from then again. Also, the phone number and text already quoted here was the same.

They called me and said I had 500.00 deposited to my account in July blah blah, and I checked my account activity and didn't find this amount, and I asked them for the deposit date and more details, and they couldn't give it to me.  They tried to get more info out of me by asking me to send them an email back explaining my dispute (fishing for more info), and they commented that they will send me the copy.   I told them I didn't have any deposit for that amount in July, and they called me names and hung up on me.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
