I recieved this call also. i looked up the actual orange county sheriffs dept number and it was no where close to this number. i confronted the man on the phone and told him i was going to call the real sheriff dept he got very defensive then and i think i will actually call the real dept and let them know someone is posing as detectives in their dept.

i believe this is a hoax in order to get money out of people they pose as cops and try to get you to send them money

I received a call from someone posing to be from the Florida sheriffs department. They said that I needed to give them a call back or I would be investigated.
