It's funny isnt that it's only stealing if you walk into a building and rob it at gun point, as long as you lie and cheat to obtain its called business.

They call and tell me it's the troopers association, and then the second time they lied a second time claiming it was the florida records department. "Can we please get the Constitution back now the joke is over!"

I have received a call from 561-829-2157/2151 several times recently.  When I let it go to the answering machine, there is no message. I decided today to check the number on google.  I found the above comments and decided to call the number back. A recording asked if I wanted to be put on their do not call list? I left the message that I am already on the state and national "Do Not Call" lists and that if this did not stop I was going to report them to the proper athorties.

Caller ID says from Belle Glade, FL.

I have read stories in the newspapers about calls like this - and the items claimed that the "charity" gets nothing.  I think 60 minutes did a story of a similar nature years ago.  Maybe John Walsh of America's Most Wanted could expose these frauds: Lets all email  him and see.

I now know who they are and I don't take their calls and won't ever.

If they can't leave a message on the answering machine, off they go to the Blocked Call list...

I wouldn't answer when they called from a different number so now they are trying this.  I have been told that this is a scam.

Received this call at 4:25. Did not answer.  I get calls from this area on a regular irritating basis. since these scam artists are so persistent, I don't see why they can't be shut down.  I was informed by law enforcement  that they do not solicit funds for the benefit of their officers. If you donate to these, you won't know where the money goes. these people could be soliciting for anyone, anywhere.

Received a call from this number.  I did not say anything because I wanted to see what would happen.  Very quickly the line clicked off, meaning the party on the other end either hung up or because there was no answer, their automatic phone system cut it off.  You should know that most telemarketers for police organizations take upwards of 85% commission off the top of any contributions received.  The actual charitable organization gets very little, and even what they do with their cut is probably questionable as to any valid charitable use.

Your right James03E.  Cops are just like rain, got to get rid of them.  Rain, all it does is gets people wet trying to do their shopping, and kids can?t play outside just driving the family nuts.   And look at all those mud slides that kill all those incident people.  And all those floods that wipe out whole cities.  Your really on top it James03E.  With you there guy.

Have been getting a lot of calls from this area code recently.  From donations to credit solvers, etc.

They called at 8:15 in the morning asking for donations.....and I am on a "do not call" list!!!

You are absolutely right!!! These troopers are the last people who should get a hand out. I see them routinely arresting "less fortunate" people for pan handling. I guess they do not want the competition. The officers sign up to be policepeople. They know the risks and their benefits. They get free 7-11/starbucks donuts and coffee. They get to speed and be above the law. The policemen in Manatee county profited from the Sheriff's ranch, by stealing feed, supplies and thousands of dollars of tax payer money - and to boot, they get to retire and collect their pension. Governor Scott swept it all under the rug.

The state troopers are basically illiterate crooks. When you tell them what happened to your vehicle, they write a report that had nothing to do with you, and say it is you.

I WOULD NOT GIVE A SINGLE PENNY TO AN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. YOU ARE A SUCKER IF YOU DO.

Told them my minister told the congregation their calls were considered 'friendly fraud'.  WOW!  Did I ever get the phone calls after that - 2 and 3 a week.

This is a most annoying call.  These are private fund raisers.  The troopers are paid adequately!

The charity crooks are at it again.    Called from this number at 6:25pm on 5/3/12.    My caller ID showed "no name receiver."   (There's a hint...)    Left no message on my answering machine, but clearly a robocall.   Will be blocking this area code.

Scam...they answer "Hello" and then when you ask who it is, they tell you it's for Florida Trooper donations.  What honest company doesn't provide their Charitable Donations name when you call?
