I have received this message several times. I called it back just to see if my suspisions were justified.
The first thing you hear is a referance to your text message, followed by the first 6 numbers of your master card account. Then you press a number to hear details and the first thing you hear is " please enter you 16 digit master card account #". This is an attempt to steal your account # if you even have one. I do not. So do not give your account # ever to this message. If you have an account with MC call them. Furthermore, all mastercard account numbers first 6 digits are similar. This is an attempt to steal the next ten digits which identifies your personal account. Dont' be scammed.

I got the same exact text message from 904200@vtext.com and it provided a called back number. Its a scam do not call or provide any information. Depending on your cell phone service provider some offer internet spam blocking options to avoid this issue in the future.

It's definitely a scam. Verizon Wireless wouldn't ask you for your credit card number through text message. I called and said it was from H&R Block, I input 5116500000000000 as a MasterCard and 00/00 as the expiration date and it even asked me for a PIN number. I used 000. It stated that my MasterCard has been reactivated then hung up on me. When trying to get a representative by dialing 0 or *, it also hangs up on me. These people can usually find your phone number when you shop online or enter a raffle. Just be cautious. :)

I got one from 818388@vtext.com about my Master Card, and to call 562-453-4343.  Vtext is a service for Verizon customers to text someone from their computer to the website.  If you are online with Verizon already, just go to the Vtext page, go to Preferences, learn how to block those texts.  I don't have a texting plan so each scam messages costs me $.20..

Just got the same text and reported it to B of A so they can initiate a federal or international fraud investigation.  Never input credit card information or SSN for any reason unless you're the one seeking to provide the info for a reason other than some entity asking!!?  NEVER!

I just got this message about an hour ago.  I called the number and it said that my card has been deactivated and to press one to reactive it.  I immediately hung up.  I don't have a mastercard for one and for two, who would reactive a credit card over the phone via a voice recording.
