I just got a fax about the party as well. Thought I'd google "Edward Johnson food needed for party" and found this site okay It was a pretty funny read okay I hope no owner falls for it okay

I just got a fax from this Edward Johnson for a birthday party for his dad for 250 people on December 13, 2012 and he wanted to come and pick it up....thought it sounded fishy so did some research and found the comments on this site. Thank you everyone for the heads up!

This might be a scam-I've read about similar emails on whocallsme. The scammer overpays with a fraudulent check, then asks for part of the money back which the victim pays out of their account. Meanwhile the scammer's check bounces, and the bank goes after the victim for the face value. On top of that is the food that is prepared at great expense that goes to waste.

The bad grammar is a red flag that this person is a scammer-I wouldn't deal with them..

Have you ever done that with the card? Report it stolen. Just wondering because it would be nice to put these people away in jail.  Do you call the CC company ?  Just curious.

My Father got the exact same fax this morning, wanting to order food from his restaurant for 250 people, we are located in Buffalo, NY .  He asked me to check it out for him, (He's not exactly computer literate). I knew it would be a scam, how does the guy want to order food from a place he hasn't even seen a menu from?
I'm glad sites like this exist, it's just unfortunate for the people who believe these things and get taken advantage of.

I  got this same fax in PA.  This is a scam.  After you secure the order then they will give you a CC Number and request you run an extra $1000.00 on the card.  Then someone will come and pick up the money.  They have no interest in the food part of the order.  They used to call me and pose as a deaf person trying to place an order through a phone operator.  The fax must be their new method.  Get the CC Number from them and then report it stolen, which it is...

I received the same fax from this number asking me to email edwardjohnson004@hotmail.com about food for a 250 person party. It was a hilarious read (read it aloud to someone, you'll laugh hard). Glad it is not legitimate and others got this silly email as well. These little treasures sometimes break the routine of the day and give you a reason to smile and not take life so seriously. I just hope they don't send me more faxes and waste my paper, but this once it's not a big deal.

Got the same fax as the rest of you. Edward looking for a Civic or a Jeep.

I just got one saying he wants to buy a Grand Cherokee or a Honda Civic for his mother. First red flag. A Grand Cherokee OR a Honda Civic... Large SUV or a small economy car. Second Red flag. The gammer was terrible.

I received the same fax at 8:55 PM. I was suspicious due to the lack of grammar context, punctuation and any other contact information other then an email address drafted from gmail. Attached is the body exactly as written.

What state are you in Tommy? I'm in North Carolina and I got the same fax. The phone number is registered in California.

this number faxed an order to my restaurant for an order to feed 250 people there was no company name other
than edwardjohnson400@gmail.com, I am not interested in this order so I will not be e-mailing him back with
a response as requested more than 7 times in his communication NOT A GOOD SPELLER NOR A GOOD WRITER OFTHE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
