I to just ordered Dish Network last week...  I've just started receiving this call (570)615-0241 on my cell phone.  They don't leave any sort of message.  I have to assume this is a Dish Network call.  The similarities are amazing...  Calls just started today (Sept 12, 2007).

They have called 3 times so far and of course I can't call them back and they hang up on me. I am very annoyed with this. I ordered Dish network only yesterday..I will cancel my order if the problem keeps up. The number was 570-615-0241.

im glad i found this site and now know who this number is that keeps calling my home i have a four month old and when he is down to sleep i dont want to hear from some annoying person with dish who i am not even signed up with my wife looked into them the other day to leave direct and this annoys me that just by going on their site they info to call me with

Boy I sure wish I knew all this before I GOT ON DISH's SITE!!!!!!! Aggravating!  To bad we cant call them and wait silently waisting their time! LOL

I just checked out dish network today and by this afternoon I have already received tow call from this number. Caller ID diplays 570 615 0241 and Pennsylvania. I will NEVER consider using this company with this sort of harassment just from inquiring about their "service".

Yep - I made an inquiry about service with DISHtv this morning.  Since then I've received at least one call every hour from either 330-965-8500 or 570-615-0241.  When I answer, it disconnects me.  When I tried to call the numbers back, they are reported as disconnected numbers.  I am reporting DISH network to the Better Business Bureau for their annoying sales tactics.

Make that TWO calls now (and counting...)

I was looking to sign up to Dish Network yesterday but stopped to get more information from my roommates.  I received a call from this number this morning but did not answer it and there was no message.  I guess they are still continuing to harvest and distribute numbers.  I am likely to NOT choose Dish Network for my service carrier (I looked at 3 other competitors with no other harassment).

570-615-0241/212-982-6401. Thanks for identifying this number for me I did place an order for dishnetwork yesterday and that's when it started and already have 10 calls on my cellphone. I sent Dish and email also gave them a phone call regarding this issue. I spoke to a young lady (foreign) I don't know if she understood what I was trying to convey to her but she ended the call stating she would have my phone number removed from promotions. I just got another dead silence call from this number and I'm getting p'd! I haven't gotten a response back from dish via email. But if this continues thru out the day. I will cancel the order I place for this coming Saturday. Also, another strange number 330-965-8500

I finally figured who was calling:

His name is Scott from "National Promotion Center". Not only Dish TV steals your information from the page (I checked the source code, and they use AJAX to grab your info before you submit it), but they quickly sell it to their "partners", basically low scums that call you over and over and over.

Anyways, here's how to contact Scott: call their center at 1-800-913-9042, extension 313 and talk to Scott. Tell him you are very very interested in the latest promotion, but you will only sign up after a week of silence, i.e. no stupid call from his stupid empty head.

wanted to add, that I didn't even click "submit" on my info on their site. Just typed it in.  That is an infringement it would seem of your privacy as they must be recording keystrokes.  

Anyway, the number they call me on is a cell phone, so I saved their number and then changed the ringtone for it to "silent", so at least it won't be disrupting me several times a day.  Only thing to do since I can't block it.

I have received two calls from this number in the last 20 minutes. I filled out the info for Dish, but decided to go through my phone company and get it cheaper.  Now, this number starts calling me.  What can we do to get it stopped and really, most important, what is the point of the call?? Is it just a telemarketer trying to establish new customers?  Don't quite understand.

Same thing happend to me. I inquired about dish network online and within a few hours my phone was ringing off the wall. When ever I would answer noone would speak, I would call the number back and of course the number was not a working one. (never seems to amaze me, that when they want to make a call it is a working number, but when we return the call it is no longer working)Anyways, this went on for about a week, and I finally called corporate office spoke to a very hateful person, who informed me that there was no illegal with what they were doing. I informed them that I work for an attorney and he would be contacting them about this matter, because what they are doing is harrassing people and giving out personal information to other companies. The hateful person told me that my information would be taken off of there list, and I have not heard anything else from them.

same thing here with dishnetwork. Made and inquiry and received a call from 570-615-0241. I wonder how legal it is for them to do that. Are they allowed to save your information? It sounds like they are doing something illegal as you cant get through to the number as it is disconected. I have already heard terrible stories about their service and was going to give them a change, but this makes me think twice.

sorry, one other fact. In a call center the reps talk to each other. IF they are in the middle of a conversation, they will keep a phone on mute until they are done talking. Also, if they have a poor system, it may take a minute for the dialer to realize you picked up. Waiting may not bee a bad idea. I for one am planing on doing what ever it takes to stop these people. Any and all help will be appreciated. (In case you are wondering, yes, I do work in a call center myself. If any of my reps pulled anything like this they would loose their jobs.)

My wife was looking into dish tv yesterday, This number has called her phone  every hour. When a guy finally answered (I had the phone by now) I asked why he was harassing us and he just laughed at me. When I asked for asup he hun up, laughing. I called and spoke to a guy at Dish (after talking to way too many people to get to the right person, all refusing to ID themselves). I gave him all of the information, including this site. I will not post his name and number, but if you call the number on their site and ask for corporate they can transfer you to issue your complaint. If/when they call, try to get as much info as you can. This needs to stop. Collecting information is the only way to stop it. Please post all data here.

My facts so far:
1. They are on a dialer (I was told)
2. The male I spoke to was VERY rude.

Please keep in mind that a dialer system calls out on multiple accounts at one time. If someone answers the call before you, it WILL hang up on you, or give you dead air. To gather info, please answer the phone a quickly as possible. They already know who we are, so we need to play nice to find out who they are.

I have been getting the same call today and I dont have Dish I bang the phone on a table or blow a whisle in the phone

Same deal - both the 570 and 212 numbers are calling me a couple of times a day - and I just ordered Dish service a day ago as well.

this number has called severl times today, and there is no response. Is this a dish network problem.

I have gotten the call 3 times so far today. I inquired online about Dish but did nothing to complete the inquiry and even erased my number out of the info boxes.  They never leave a message.

Just realized that the caller ID shows up as "Pennsylvania".

I'm having the same exact issue. I hadn't realized it was due to dish since I signed up with them just the day before I started getting all the calls. Boy do they work fast! If I pick up and wait long enough, a person actually comes on. But I was about to hang up as he spoke so I didn't get a chance to see what it was about. Call blocking/screening them doesn't work either since at&t says that the number is not valid/available for blocking.

Yeah, I have the same problem - it seems to have all started with Dish TV.  I've got four numbers that keep calling me and after I answer, it pauses and then hangs up. I can't call the number back and it says the number can't be completed as dialed.  This is very annoying.

Someone/thing started calling from this number today. Another number also started calling me today: 2129826401. The 212 number is supposedly Dish TV. I made an inquiry about service with them yesterday.

So the timing of the two numbers calling me and my contacting Dish tells me the two phone numbers are linked. Don't really know what i should do from here though.

calls me about 10 times a day and when i answer it's a beaping and then hangs up on me.
