I keep getting calls from this number to but I can never answer them due the fact that he always calls at 3 in the morning.

I get random calls from this number, always very rude and unprofessional asking for someone I don?t know. They tell me that they know I am the guy they are looking for (don?t remember the name they asked for). Threatened legal action and wage garnishment against me?Told him I would be more than happy to go to court but I don?t think that will ever happen because you can?t even tell me the name of the company you are working for. He then hung up on me.

Their name popped up as ability recovery on my phone.

Creditor calling for J. Fransis, im not him, i have told them they have the wrong number but they still call everyother day

As a former debt collector here is what you do if they are calling you for someone else.  Tell them verbally three times, no such person by that name lives here, I do not know this person.  Document date, day and time, and their name if they will give it.  After 3 times, ask for their mailing address, send them a letter telling them to: CEASE AND DESIST.  This is not you and they are harrassing you and you will report them under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, if they don't stop.  You can actually sue company for doing this to you.  If you want to pursue it, call your Attorney General's office in your state and ask them for help.  That is what they are there for and they will usually help you.  A letter from them to the debt collector will do the trick.  They know they can be heavily fined.  THREATS, AND ABUSIVE LANGUAGE IS A CRIME, AND THEY KNOW IT TOO.

A company called Ability Recover calling for Eugene Jacobs. He evidently uses my phone number on official documents because the calls have come in for several years now. I've reported them to no avail. I end up blocking them, which works for 3-4 months and then they call from a new number. I have no idea who this man owes money to.

They called again and this time I got the name of the entity: "Ability Recover."

I have been getting calls for "Eugene Jacobs" for 4 years now, and I even got a shock when I went to Lowe's and his name was associated with my phone number (I also was) and I had to report it to their home office. I've had the number for about 15 years. My cousin was having a similar problem with another number and changed her phone number, only to have yet someone else's debt collection calls come to her. I've reported this to the proper authority so many times my head is spinning. I block the number and the calls go away for a few months, and then they start again. Infuriating. I even found all the actual people by that name in the state and gave those numbers to one of them a couple of years ago. Didn't help.

They call me at least once a day, often before 8:00 am CST, which tells me they are located in EST.   Anyway, they always stay on long enough that my voice mail kicks in, then they hang up.    This leaves me a message notice, but there's never anything there!!!

Sadly this collection agency is affiliated with Penn Foster and it is such a disappointment that they have such RUDE people working for them!

This phone number keeps calling asking for Erika Jackson.  When I hit the "0", it starts to connect with an operator and then I get disconnected.  I cannot even call this company to ask to stop calling.

this number and penn foster are a pain i dont understand how you own them money and u didnt even get a degree because the program is a fake . i cant use it any where in maryland and i gave them money each time i passed an exam and ended up getting my ged from a real program else where

Constantly receiving calls from 570-706-8800. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. I've never had any business with Penn Foster or any business connected with them.

Stop Calling my phone number asking for Anita, I have been having this number for the past 10yrs!!

This number has called 3-4 times per week. They leave no message, no number, no name.

This number calls my phone about every other weekday, some weeks every day.  They ask for Nicole Brown, or Jessica Garcia.  I have called the number and asked them to remove the number from there list and not call it again.  At first they asked if I knew that person and when I said no they asked me if I knew several other people "affiliated with this phone number".  I told them to just stop calling MY phone number.  They ask for my personal information, which I decline to give them and I repeated my request.  The calls haven't stopped.  This has been going on since I got this phone several months ago.  I have called them two times now, and tried to report them to other sites.  Still getting the calls as of this morning.

Some a***ole said I talked to then 2 weeks ago and said I would pay them. And when I asked who it was they got all pissed off you know who this is now pay us. I said f*** you! And they never callled back so far its a scam! Some dot head fool on the phone give me your SS number!

Harassing phone calls from them. I have no idea who they are or what they want. We just aquired 4 new numbers and they are dialing in on one. They hang up on me when I try to call them back.

This is incredible--I get calls for this Eugene Jacobs guy, too. I block the number, but my cell company doesn't block numbers but 60 days. And sometimes they just use a new number and call anyway. I'm going to try the cease and desist letter someone mentioned, but this shouldn't be necessary.

My cousin changed her number because they were getting wrong number harrassing calls just like we are, and then she started getting new ones for a different person at her new number. Until there is a combination of legal and technical solutions that actually work, I fear we are doomed to either turn it off or only allow certain numbers to get through when we are sleeping or busy.

They call and ask for someone named Eugene Jacobs that I have never heard of, and I've had this phone number for many years. It's gone on for a year now, and I cannot get them to stop harrassing me.
