Was about to sell a very expensive dress to this person today - googled their number and said I'm sorry cash only - and you should know this number is linked to scams! They responded with this "I prefer cash but this is the only way you can have ur cash before releasing the dress. I'll never steal Ur dress that is why I said I'd be paying upfront. as a chief petty officer I can never rip you off ! BADKARMA " - so glad I checked!!!! I need the money and could not have afforded a scam artist! Then they responded again "omg! really? I was given this phone when I got here at the united state coast guard training camp to contact ppl"

Thank you! Someone else has seen the light. Kijiji & Craigslist are NOT eBay. They were designed for local, cash sales. Getting rid of an extra lamp, or couch. No one, & I mean no one, in Boston buys a car in San Diego. Just put "Local - CASH - In person" in your ad. If you want, "NO text messages".

All these scammers are easy to stop.  Only sell local, take cash and meet in a very public place and have a friend with you.  Stops them dead.

I had a craigslist wedding dress for sale and they said they wanted it but would send a certified check before picking it up.

I just had the same situation happen.

This person went as Julia Powell. She wanted to buy my wedding dress. Agreed to mail me a certified cheque. I was about to go through with it until I looked this number up and read all these reviews. A total scam. This person should go to hell

This number is associated with a check cashing scheme targeting people selling items on craigslist

SCAM. DONT GIVE HIM YOUR INFORMATION.

So obnoxious. I was selling a car and he was interested in it for his "sons big day" yada yada he now couldn't meet me he said "(1/3)Okay sounds gd!  Prefer meeting with  you but left for my deployment training cos I am serving with USCG.. I will instruct my bank personnel to issue a (2/3)certified bank check on ur name..when you get it cashed then my carrier would meet to get the car to do some extra work and designs on it. Can he pick up (3/3)after payment had been made?" Did I mention he agreed to buy it without seeing it or driving it?

Just wanted my information. Total scammer.

This guy is pretty good. Tried to buy a baby grand piano from me. He told me it was for his sons' birthday. The name he gave me was Roger Jacob, 716 E. Quince St, Vineland, NJ 08360. He said he was in the United States Coast Guard, but was/is currently located at Fairfield Suisun, California for training exercises. When I called the number it is set up through google that  you have to say your name and google tries to reach "Roger" aka who knows. I caught him before he got me. DON'T TRUST THIS GUY!!!

Total scammer!!  Apparently has many different phone numbers.  Craigslist scammer!  Needs to be reported.  Stealing people's account information via moneygram to Esta Barbanell in New Haven, CT.
