a new twist: this guy was trying to have me send him $900! how? he said he is ready to wire my asking price fro my truck in full into my Pay Pal account,  but before that he want me to pay his shipping agent $900, then he will add this $900 to my balance that he is going to wire into my pay pal account! So to do all of this he wanted me to send him $900 Via Western Union! Ya, not Pay pal but Western Union! ya he want to buy my truck, but to do so, I have to send him $900, first! Just imagine this for one second if you can! This is the reason I always follow these crooks all the way the end to learn how they do things! this is one sure way to protect yourself. I asked him to come here and see for himself!

I got the same message today for a Toyota Truck I'm selling on Craiglist, but I took the risk and gave him what he asked. I will report my finding back here, so keep coming back here.

Do you think I'm at risk of this person looking up my number to get any personal info from me and have continuous problems with this dude? I'm like freaking out. Cuz I called him out on his scam, and now I'm a little terrified about continuing problems with this person. What did you do/ what would you suggest?

This post helped me so much! And made me freak out at the same time. The SAME thing happened to me tonight, and I ALMOST fell for it then thought it was fishy and reported his phone number to the Virginia police department because that's where his number as traced to via my cell phone app for tracking what city/state a phone number is from.
The things he had said to all of you, is exactly what he said to me.

Did you go on with the sale before you found out it was a scam? I realized it had to be when he said he would be using a shipper/mover for a 97 s-10 blazer.
