I received the same call again today - only on my work phone, of course.  So, then I called ChexSystems, since he clearly identified himself as being from there.

The customer service rep I spoke to at Chexsystems told me that there is a known scam  (someone identifies themselves as being a rep from Chexssytems calls and will demand money from you)  Don't return their call - don't pay them anything - it is a scam.

I thought that if Chexsystems wanted to get in touch with me they would at least try to send me something in the mail, first before calling me.  And how would they have my work number?

A guy name Patrick Wilson called me saying they would go after my money for a debt that is 13 years old.   Very threatening.

A guy named Patrick Wilson called using my correct name, saying that I had serious allegations of check fraud against me, and
said that if I didn't call back, (or my legal representative), that (something) and my SS # would be locked up, and I would be reported to ChexSystems.
He mentioned that I have failed to respond to the letters they have been sending me - what letters?  I haven't received any letters.  They called me at work too.  what a pain.....irritating.  If I did do something wrong, can't they send me a letter - I haven't received anything.  If i had received something in the mail I would have responded.
