I just received a call on my work phone from this number, did not mention company name or his name.  Just that there is a complaint against me and my social security and paperwork is in process.

Boy bye! First off I've only been in law school 2 years so learn to read. Secondly you sound like the person who told me on the phone that I am an irresponsible adult. Whatever! Tell your co-workers Jordan and Michael I said they can write this alleged debt of mine off as a direct refusal, indirect refusal, a kiss my a** refusal, a f@@@ you refusal, I don't care but this company will never get a dime of my money!

@Josh Strong - Funny u knew my whole name but I only listed my name as Angie!
I bet u are the person that just called me and got cursed out. Call me again bc right now I am at a courthouse and I am sure my police officer friends would love to chat with you about harassing me! Also I am in my last year of law school and I have spoken with your so-Called attorney and any attorney who will not give their bar number is suspect! I hope you are aware that it is a crime to claim to be an attorney when you are not one. Also payday loans are illegal in my state so good luck trying to collect it bc u can't sue me and not paying a loan is a civil offense not criminal so you're threats about going to jail are laughable. Go play in traffic and pull your scam on someone else bc I'm not the one fool!

The alleged debtor's name was Ripdos. I don't have to play the clip to know where that quote came from. ABC News has used that "end your life" clip repeatedly when Brian Ross is assigned a debt collection abuse story.

"This is not a collection agency.."  It isn't?  So you admit they're scammers.    "I can insure you"?  Why, are you an insurance salesman?  Oh, that's right.  You're a shill.

The negative blogging as you put it is by people who have been scammed for "debts" they didn't even owe!  And for your information, it's not LEGAL to send debt validation letters via email or fax...but you wouldn't know that because you're a shill.

Are you refering to rated negative comments?

Look at this..

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJS9c0jgosQ?

Tell me if Mrs Ripkens deserved to be treated like that by some piece of garbage!!! That?s the kind of Swine that gets people like me (and others too) pissed off!! She didn't even own the debt, and filed paper work for I.D. theft, and that piece of garbage said "I am going to end your life".

If that's not enough for you look at this...

It took 3 to 5 days to get here which I dont know if that is irregular but the documentation provided verfication of what I owed and I settled it with them the only problem was that they disquafliyed me for my settlement offer because its a longer process than rather email as well as fax.... No problems with the representive so im not sure what the negative blogging is about...

The so-called negative comments are from the victims and potential victims of your filthy extortion scam to warn others. You can try to control the damage the truth written on this site does to your scam, but your attempts are useless.

Love how you can't spell legitimate -- no wonder, since you haven't the slightest idea what it means. Lying day in and day out distorts your view of the world and makes you less than human.

You can go back to the boiler room now and hope the next sucker you call hasn't seen your SCAM outed on this site.

To all of these negative comments..

If you are not satisfied with what they are stating that you owe than why argue with these people than? Sounds like to me like you are adults that dont like to resolve your billing issues and would rather blog about your bad experience. I was formally warned as far as what I owed and was informed of the severity behind it but why If you did it than pay your debt! and if you dont have it than dont deal with it... These are real legitmenement people ive showed this to my attorney who advised me to pay this.

Debt Collector
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I agree. One video I posted yesterday on another thread, the reenactment mencioned about sending it to the Legal Department.

These other threats are probibally an effort to get more commision, or meet a quota.

Exactly - all these people claiming that it worked out for them - first of all, they can't "fax" you over anything - it has to be MAILED.  If they won't send you a debt validation letter proving that you owe a debt to them, then they are scamming, pure and simple!

It was a valid loan that was provided the proof to me and paid.... Seems as if maybe you guys are trying to avoid something youve done? I asked for email and us mail and provided both as well as a full recepit being paid in full...

So you had no proof sent to you by US Mail? Some guy phones you, you pay him, & that's OK? Wow! Today is Tuesday! The all-you-can-stomach Spam Buffet was Sunday! I guess instead of seniors, SHILLS get a discount on Tuesday. What a load of BS! If you owe a debt, A REAL debt, proof MUST be mailed to you by US Mail. Email doesn't count, because there is no proof you got it. Plus, the letter must have the debt collectors address & phone number at the top. The amount owed. Who the original debt was with, and for how much. And it is SIGNED. Ignore all the BS here folks, nothing to see.

Angela May I think you may need to do a little more research cause i located them on a website as well as contacted the legal department and provided me with everything that was needed... They have an attorney on staff that I asked about but never apposed.  I have no other comment than rather to pay the debt because I was pursued on what I thought was a joke... The way that it was explained to me was a standard steps of procedures of going forward and it takes time to eventually reach the county but all in good time... I thought the same thing... its one of those things you kind of pay now or you pay later... I paid later with a hefty fee...
