Called, answering machine picked up, there were six seconds of some kind of noise, then they hung up.

This is a company called Xentel.  They are outsourced to by several charities and have no connection to the charities, except to be paid by them.  You can request to be taken off their Call List by going to their website and scrolling down to the "Don't Call" hotlink.

Veterans Assistance fund or foundation

We are getting several calls a week with no message but just White Noise.  The caller ID just has the number and VAF.  Who are these people and why are they calling time after time?  We are on the gov't No Call List, but that doesn't matter to them.  Getting very, very irritated with them.

Guessing it's a collection center, since I recently had an 8 year old disputed phone charge resurface. DO NOT TALK to these people...it will only drive you nuts. Contact in writing only, by using the address listed below.

Second call in two days - did not answer either one.  Message left both times was loud static (white noise).

I am on the no call list. Other call was months back. Pick up no answer.

VAF showed up on caller ID. I did not answer the call. We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST-guess they did not pay attention.

Got a call tonight - didn't pick up - call ID said "VAF" haven't figured it out thru internet snooping yet.

Got a call from a Bozo at this number tonight, he asked for my husband and when I repeated my husband's name looking for a last name, he got very rude, so I hung up on him.  What a jerk.  What is this number?
