If they are calling your house phone or cell phone just register for the do not call list just copy and paste it into the address bar on the browser: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx . It's free to put your number (This is a government website).

Calls several times a day. I hear what sounds like a modem when I answer. Reverse phone lookup shows that the number belongs to Cendant and is on a Qwest land line.
