calls and hangs up

I received a call from this number. I answered and they did ask for me by name. When I asked for their name and where they are calling from, he said his name is Marvin calling from the California Business Bureau. Then hung up.
I just moved here, 6 weeks ago, from California. This sounds like it could be a legit number! I tried calling back, but it said that the number I called is not a working number.. so that is where I'm confused.

Anyone get bugged by these people, return the favor.

How many have or have had Cox Communications Services. I find this very strange that the carrier is Cox Tele Com. or Cox Services. With the telephone carrier that is servicing this number and many others I find it difficult to believe Cox, Sprint, Verzion, AT&T and others don't know the source of these
calls. Yet as a customer we are warned/informed that such harrassment and viole language will be legally charged.  Makes you want to go hummmmm. Remember these phone carriers can and do keep messages and dialed numbered for years.  hummmmm These carriers know who they sale numbers too and who would have gadgets that over ride their lines/services. I mean a normal paying customer can't steal services for long until they are busted. hummmmmm

This number called today and the caller was a male with a strong Indian accent who was calling to tell me (in broken English) that I keep coming up in their system as having computer problems.  I told him I have no idea who he is or what he is talking about.  He then tried to verify my name, but sounded confused and then said he must have dialed the wrong number and hung up.

Based on other reports I read here, I am sure this is not a legitimate business and all calls should be ignored.

7:03AM, just rec'd call from Transcom Holdings. It is illegal to call anyone in the state of AZ before 8 am. This is my first call from them. From what I have read it will not be my last. I am on the DNC list, I will report them now and see what happens.

Rude telemarketer trying to consolidate credit card debt -- started cursing at me when i told him i was on the national do not call list.

Another call and no explaining. We can fight wars, go to space, but we can't shut down this number? Unbelievable.

All of you sound so bewildered as to why these people keep calling and don't honor the Do Not Call list. You need to stop being so naive. Clearly, these are scam artists who have ZERO regard for any kind of law. On top of it, they are probably calling from a fake number. I read in one of these postings that the number originated from Malaysia. You think they give a crap about our laws, or any, for that matter? All I can say is, I sure hope no one ever gives out their information to ANY random stranger who calls their home. I HOPE people aren't that gullible.

We received at least two calls per evening from this number. Only once did a person speak and asked for my husband. When I asked who was calling they hung up.  This has been going on for weeks.  Our number is on Do Not Call but that does not seem to help.

Getting calls on a regular basis from 602-283-1862 and when I do answer there isn't anyone there.  Whenever I let the call go into my voicemail there is never a message left!  I don't know why they keep calling. Today I will report them to the Federal Government's https://www.donotcall.gov/ website. I have a Do not call number listed.

I got this " you won a million dollars" call from this clown last night.  He told me to copy down a bunch of info so I could confirm my winnings when it was delivered the next day.  Then, he started telling me I needed to send $200 thru Western Union to him, at Kennief Spence, Jama  Ica,  W. I. which is supposed to be Winners International.  Duh, sounds more like the normal scam from Jamaica, West Indies.  I led him on for quite a while, then I finally hung up.  Musta pist him off, cause he called back 3 times from different numbers trying to get back to me.  I don't think so, eh?

I'm getting calls from this number, I don't know anyone there, and screen all my calls. This is the current phone history record I have.

A dropped call.  There are similar reports, along with claims of sweepstakes scams and other nonsense, from a Transcom Holdings number in the 520 area code, also hitting phones in Arizona.

Called twice, it was 11:15 p.m..

getting these same calls...no one on the line, and of course call back to a disconnected number

they have called now 4 times in 30 minutes. No response when I answer!!

Received a call from 602-283-1862 . My caller ID said it was from Transcom Holdin. I have Cox Comm. phone service and I too am in AZ.

Just got a call from the same number. When I answered no one replied. They just hung up. I do not know who this is. I also live in Arizona.

They just called back and I answered the phone.  It was some lady asking if I knew of anyone who was interested in renting to own houses.  I told her that I have this phone on the no call list and if they called again I was reporting them to the FTC.  We'll see if they call back.

Transcom Holding is driving me nuts.  Calling several times a day.  I've never answered the phone when they call, because I look at caller ID and if it's someone I don't know or expecting to call, I don't answer the phone.  I just called the number back (after seeing all these comments) and got the disconnected number recording.

They called me three times last night. When I answered all I got was beeping. two of the three time were after 9PM. which is illegal. I tried to call the number this morning and got message that the number was not in service.

I called the( FTC Federal Trade Commission) about Transcom Holdings # 602-283-1862 after they called repeatedly the last 3 days.  I will not answer the phone-they do not leave a message. They
called my # which is on the National Do Not Call list.  You can call them too even if you are not on the
National Do Not Call List and complain. You can get the number from their web site.  If you are on the do not call list the # is 1-888-382-1222 CALL THEM!!

Who is Transcom Holding????? They call every evening starting at 4:30pm and every 10 to 15 min till 8:30pm.  602-283-1862 Will not answer the phone because number is unknown to me.

I'm a female and just got a call from this number.  The guy threatened to rape and kill me while my husband watched.   He said he was going to bomb my home.   He voice had a foreign accent.  So are we now going to be terrorized from our homes now?  We reported this number to police.

This guy is a creep ... beware!
Dont give him any info and report his number right away.
