No message given have no idea who it is or what they want
dratikus 2011-06-06 20:52:04 Unknown
They keep calling me and I have never heard of any so called "grand canyon" school. This is obviously a scam.
soccrfnatc 2011-06-06 20:52:04 Unknown
This is not a scam! Grand Canyon University is a real university in Phoenx, Arizona, and has been around since the late 1800's I think. It is a Christian school, Southern Baptist based. They are probably calling to get you to do online classes. I go there myself.
Kim 2011-06-06 20:52:04 Unknown
Did not leave message.

You should know! LOL!

I just got another call from Grand Canyon University! They call my cell phone, always during the day while I'm at work and can't answer, and they don't leave messages.
I'm a grad student at NAU. At one time I contacted GCU about the possibility of attending, but I've made it clear several times that I went another direction and would appreciate being removed from their list. Yet they keep calling, as if I'm going to leave my graduate program due to their amazing sales tactics. They've now removed themselves from consideration for my Ph.D.
Rolly Tolleson 2010-09-07 23:05:54 Telemarketer
GCU apparently following up on my web lead. Well, yes they're accredited, but so is my AKC registered dog. That does not make it a show winner. Now as you plan out your child's education, do you want them attending and graduating from UCLA, ASU, USC, BYU, etc... or GCU??? Accreditation is everything, not that it is or is not, but by whom. Take a hard look here folks. How many of the execs and leaders at GCU have GCU graduate degrees before holding their positions? Exactly ZERO!
rolly Tolleson 2010-09-07 23:03:15 Unknown
Marginally accredited to be kind.
rolly Tolleson 2010-09-07 23:02:43 Unknown
Accredited, yes, but compare GCU's accreditation with those of other nearby major universities. Not so much the same now is it.
Jazz17 2010-08-12 18:40:53 Unknown
Dratikus:
Why don't you do a little research? The number IS directly associated with GCU. I converse with the university quite frequently and use 602 - 639 - 7600 as the main contact number.
No scam. No pranks. It's this important little thing called education.
Cheers.
Dratikus 2010-07-27 18:31:59 Unknown
@snalejam. LMAO, you in on the scam!! I can't believe you just told everyone to trust them. lol
Listen up everyone. The scammers have gotten wise to these web sites that track these phone numbers. So now they post to them to try to perpetuate the scam.
lauren 2010-07-14 00:27:27 Unknown
i have 3 missed calls from this school.. in the past TWO hours. thats a little excessive if you ask me.
Deezy 2010-07-07 22:37:21 Unknown
Jeeze! Some people freak out so much over a phone call that they received just because they don't know who it is. Calm down people! It's a phone call you received and didn't accept... big deal! It's not going to hurt you to get a phone call and not accept it. If they don't leave a message then it must not be that important to you so brush it off your shoulders. Plus! You have wonderful google to utilize and see who it was that called you. Wow... imaturity is really funny but very annoying.
Susan Johnson 2010-06-29 21:43:06 Unknown
I attend GCU - they are accredited & a decent enough school, but they are also relentless on the telemarketing side. If you want to further your education, they're a pretty decent place to do it, but if you don't - ya need to figure out how to block them from your phone ... because they will never stop calling.
deej 2010-06-19 15:05:23 Unknown
I applied for a job for data entry and they sent me another part of the application to finish and it asks you alot of questions about what type of education you would be interested in. That's when I started getting these calls.

Just recieved a call from this #. I didnt answer & Google search directed me here....
Dawn 2010-05-20 19:03:12 Unknown
Yes, it is Grand Canyon University. At one time, I was researching an on-line program for an advanced degree and requested information from them. After I decided not to pursue this program, I asked them to stop calling me, but they still keep on calling, and leaving no message if I am unable to answer. The next time they call me, I will inform them that if they don't stop calling that I will report them.
Mike 2010-05-14 20:52:43 Unknown
Yes this is Grand Canyon university that was calling, when I spoke with them they talked about the TEACH grant and Teacher Loan Frogiveness program. These are for real programs that will save me thousands on my student loans. They also knew about tax credits that would help me the next time I do my taxes.
Amanda 2010-05-14 20:45:19 Unknown
If you request information on grants or scholarships or attending college, Grand Canyon University may get your request because they are 1: a University, 2: offer scholarships and 3: work with grants. So, answer and talk to them so you can make an informed and educated decision about what you do. If you don't like what they have to offer, just tell them to remove you from their list and to NOT call you again. It is law that they have to take your name off their list. Make a note of who you spoke to so if someone from GCU calls you again you can file a complaint. But if you ignore their calls they will continue to call because they have to (I know because I'm a student there and learned that when I first inquired). But, I have had a great experience with them so far, am an online student and working on my Bachelor degree. So I would recommend them!

I received a call too... dont answer!
LAMET 2010-04-28 18:42:10 Unknown
How about you reading the posts where they have been told over and over again to STOP CALLING and they refuse to!
Diane 2010-04-28 18:10:43 Unknown
Grand Canyon University
If you would just answer, all you have to do is tell them you're not interested. No need to get all crazy. Yes, they are accredited. I made sure of that before I applied. They are great and very helpful.
Todd 2010-04-28 00:34:33 Unknown
If like me you are on the do not call list and you've never had any previous dealings, inquiries, or experiences with Grand Canyon University, file a complaint with the FCC. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
