I just pulled my credit report and it has Nemo's listed as a collection against me from Nextcare in AZ 4/2012.  I have medical insurance with no lapse. have NEVER been to a Nextcare and ived in CA from 12/2010 until 8/2012

Just wanted to give people some info about this clown Mark Burns who works for NIC. Their address is 14631 N Cave Creek Rd, Ste 201, Phoenix, Az 85022. You can file a complaint with the FTC( go to their site) and or send NIC a Cease & Desist letter. You can find examples on the internet about how to do this. Also, if a debt is over ten years old, it is uncollectible.

They call me. I say "Hold On..............." and just go back to watching cartoons.

Ok I'm a minor and he received a call about once every two months since October. I receive a message from Mark and I never give out my home number (always my sell) yet I receive messages on my house phone. There is no possible reason for a collector to be after me, and I'm not going to give out any personal information to an unprofessional sounding Mark, is there anyway to stop these calls?

Yea, we've been getting phone calls from them about my Autistic and mentally retarded sister who doesn't even own a credit card or have the ability to spend money...there's no way in this world or the next that she has any outstanding balances...she doesn't have anything in her name! When we try to find out what's going on, they say they won't talk to anyone but her...BUT SHE DOESN'T SPEAK! They want us to send them our proof of guardianship, and it's a load of crap if you ask me.

Nemo's Investigations and Collections is extremely unprofessional, rude, harnessing, and threatening. I understand I have a debt to pay but I recently went through a divorce and bills were confused. I did not realize I was responsible for this debt and it slipped out of my mind. I received a call from them and it was a terrible experience. Sue Woods was mean, hung up me three times while I was trying to better understand what had happened, she called me a bi***, and then proceeded to lecture me on how I should live my life. I then called back to complain about her and Jeff Nemo was exactly the same way. This company is horrible. No one has the right to treat others like crud. Things happen and I was not trying to flake out of paying my debt I just did not realize I was responsible for the debt.

This is a scam. Dont call this number back! They left a message calling for someone that I know. I returned the phone call and they tried to get information about this person I know. They would not tell me what this is about and stated that it was personal regarding business. It's a scam and I plan on reporting them!

I was recently contacted by Nemo's regarding a debt I forgot I had (Before anyone opens their mouth my son had just had surgery..and shortly after I had to go into the hospital for cancer..so yah i confused what bills i owed for whom) Anyways I got a call from Sue woods who cursed me out, lied, and hung up on me..all I asked was for proof of the debt (THATS MY RIGHT) and that I will be happy to work with them as longas i can update my address...I had to call 6 times each time getting hung up on when all i asked for was to update my address...these people are rude and I finally spoke with "JEFF NEMO" about the debt..he was rude to me and ti took me 40 minutes to get him to accept a change of address os that I can recieve his paperwork. They had no right to be that way when all i wanted to was a paper to verify which dr, procedure this was for and i was treated like dirt. I honestly don't want to give them my money and am tryign to get ahold of the medical office to see if i can just pay them directly. Nemo's is a horrid company and i hope karma comes around to them.

To those of you who call those of us who can't pay our bills "idiots", let me ask you this: does the term "idiot" refer to those of us who suffered injuries in motor vehicle accidents and physically unable to work? Such is the case with me, as I tried to explain this to NIC. They tried, quite forcibly to receive payment on an old debt. I told them I was seriously injured in a wreck and, having sustained nine broken bones, and am unable to work. I was told "ok, we'll report it to the credit agencies anyway". No understanding, very little professionalism. How am I supposed to pay this bill when I have no income? Before anyone calls people like me "idiots" and "scum", I swear on a stack of flags and Bibles...walk a mile in my shoes- or in this case, wheel a half a mile in my wheelchair.

That might work in a few cases but as for me i called the business that sent me to the sharks and they would not work out any plan with me and said that i would have to work it out with nemo's.i tried to make some kind of payment arrangement with him and it was not enought money on a monthly basis so make a long story short and lots of harrassing phone calls later he took me to court and added more fee the amout went from 1000 to 2k after his fee and legal fees....

Dont answer to mark burns... Just find out if the company you owe has online paying service-- if they do then just make a small payment online every month- This way, the scavanger collector loses on his fee. Fee is the amount the agency charges, and then he gets a much smaller cut of that fee.

I have received yet another call today from this Mark Burns. I have already spoken to him several times when he calls me at work and have made it perfectly clear that he is not able to call me at work because I cannot take personal calls. I have also told him that I was not going to pay for this bill because it was for a pool company for two months of service. I ended up firing the company because within two days after they came out to "service" my pool, the water ended up turning green and I had to go buy the chemicals myself to get the chemical balance to where it needed to be. The individual known as Mark Burns needs to take a serious crash course in debt collection.

Not every debt turned over to this agency is legit. Shame on you for assuming so. I moved out of a mobile home park and another tenant took over the lot lease, the owners of the park (which the park no longer exists by the way) collected from her and then sent my remaining 10 month balance to nemo's. I have disputed the debt, provided documentation to nemo's and the 3 credit bureaus and even offered a settlement to nemo's to have my credit somewhat restored and they won't entertain my offer at all. It's been over 3 years now. Still it sits on my credit report. Are you suggesting I pay this debt, while the park double dipped ?? collecting from us and the tenant that was there in 2006? hmmm I smell a scam!

Boy you people that are complaining are losers!  Nemo's is a collection agency -  you apparently are the idiots that can't pay your bills - stopping blaming Nemo's and pay for what you use!

I am putting together a petition against Nemo's saying they should be shut down for misconduct and illegal activity. First, to ANGIE...You are on the other end of the scope...You don't know what is going on in other people lives! Who are you to say that every person that doesn't pay a bill by the time YOU want it paid...is a scumbag piece of garbage?!? And by the way, by saying that Nemo's is a good company and that they are doing you job...that is exactly what you are saying about YOUR CLIENTS! Nemo's breaks every law there is. I am taking this to the Military legal office today. I am also calling the attorney general, and BBB, and everyone else there is to call. This is unacceptable. I have already called the phoenix police department and they are now aware of what is going on. A small report has been made. Just because they bring in any money doesn't mean they are following regulations and policy's to do it. They break laws...THey are kind of like the mafia...So, Angie, would you be okay with hiring the mafia to collect a debt as little as $75 for you, even if that included breaking of bones and a ton of illegal acts????? Try being on the other end of the scope before you put you TWO CENTS in on ANYTHING!

This is one worthless collection company!!! I received a call from Mark Burns on Thursday. He was one heck of a jerk. After I told Mr Burns that the debt he was trying to collect was not valid and told him I would not be paying he decided to call me names! He told me what a loser I was for not paying my bills and that he would make sure this stayed on my credit for 7 years.. After I told him he was a piece of sh&t and I didnt have to take his crap he told me the conversation was being recorded.I hope it was because I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office for harrasment and threats. The recording may come in handy.. This is one of the most un-ethical collection companies in the valley! Google their name and read the comments from all the people out there that have had the harrassing phone calls from them...I hope if anyone else has these types of issues with this loser that they do the same. You need to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. They will follow up and take action if they find these people are violatin the law and harrasing you..

True that they are a collection company but if they had a little bit of common courtesy more people would pay the bills or at least make an arrangement with them with a little more ease, as long as they keep calling in the way they are calling i will not make a payment. the company who hired them never even contacted me b4 sending the collection to them.

After reading these reviews, I decided to put my two cents in.  I've been a client with this company for several years.  I have received calls from "disturbed" customers saying that Nemo's "customer service" isn't acceptable.  They are a COLLECTION agency, if people paid their bills AS PROMISED, or arrangements are made AND STUCK TO, they wouldn't exist. Unfortunately small business like myself get stomped into the ground when people DO NOT pay their bills!  Don't you like to get paid for work you've done?  AND on a timely basis?  Times are tough, understand they have a job to do and if obligations were taken care of as promised, again, they wouldn't exist.

Has anybody around here heard of 3rd party disclosure???  The federal law will not allow a third party collector leave the company name or any information regarding the call on a recorder.  This is because someone other than the intended party might get the information--thus 3rd party disclosure.

the BBB is a waste of time - call the federal trade commission (FTC)- look up the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS PRACTICES ACT - they violate evry law there is!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I just got a call from this number. From "Mark" person. Are they a legit agency? Are they calling about legit collections or is it a bogus inquiry? I am not aware of any outstanding monies that I have  so I am suspecious

It is owned by a guy named Jeffrey Nemerovsky and is located at 14631 North Cave Creek Road Suite 201, Phoenix, AZ 85046. One of their goons goes by the name of Mark Burns. He is extremely aggressive and beligerant and will escalate the call. Hang up on these punks!
