I agree with Amanda, because I work for this company and the information that we take affect regular day to day issues and participating in the survey helps many government agencies make decisions on infrastructure, environmental issues, geopolitical issues and many other things that will directly affect your life if you are a member of a union or support hard working people like you just take the survey or simply decline also because surveys are part of marketing and research and they are not selling anything they are allowed to call numbers on the do not call list.

Surveys are taken to inform people and make them more aware of the issues surrounding them. Also these polls are needed as they are published in the news media. If you aren't interested, just say so. Don't make a fuss about it and yell at innocent telemarketers.
