I received a call from this number this morning at work and she identified herself as a Wells Fargo agent.  She said she was calling me regarding my past due loan on my Honda Civic.  I DO NOT OWN A HONDA CIVIC!  I asked her to verify the last 4 digits of the SSN on file and they were incorrect!  However, they have my name, address and other personal info on file!  Reporting an identity theft complaint immediately!  I am not even sure if this is a valid WF agent!

"Ron" keeps calling my number looking for someone that is not me or my wife. It is not a relative either. In fact, I have no idea who the person is. On one hand I understand, someone is late with a payment. I get it. But, this person is NOT me. It is NOT my wife. It is NOT a family member. I have explained this time and again. Sigh, I am an old man and "Ron" contacts me more than my existing family!

I used to work in collections for Aaron"s and they would tell me to call around the hour but I was only allowed to leave one message per phone number per day. Otherwise it would violate federal collection laws. So you will get tons of phone calls with no message from the auto-dialer and from the people who work there. Wells Fargo is no different...HORRIBLE just HORRIBLE..

A word of advice to anyone who is irritated by those commenters that say "Just pay your bill on time and they won't have to call you."  Haven't you ever wondered why they would be on this website?  This is for people who are getting irritiating phone calls.

I'll tell you why.  These are the schmoes who WORK for the collection agencies, in crappy jobs because they can't anything that requires a skill.

Don't let them get under your skin.  Their are dozens of reasons why a payment may be late.  The creditors are allowed to do what they want, which is charge you a late fee and/or harrass you (to a point).  You are not low-lifes for being behind in payments.  You're just having a hard time, and other things (like eating and shelter) are more important.  Pay them what ever you can, when you can, let them charge their late-fees, get yourself a call blocking system, or a call-forwarding system (I've heard of people who have their collection calls forwarded to other collection agencies!), and do what you need to do to survive. It's the American way.  But unlike the AIG's and the GM's, We The People are not too big to fail, so no bailout is coming our way.  By the way, great idea to bail out AIG...now they are suing the U.S. for having unfair credit practices!

As for you clowns that get on this website to leave your "Pay up and shut up." messages:  why don't you get a real job, instead of working for the most sleazy industry in the world:collection agencies?   Did you know that a collection agency, on average, pays about 1/50th for the debt they buy?  Then they hire people who get their rocks off annoying other people.  Again, why don't you get a real job?  I hear Mickey D's is looking for people for the French Frying Legion.  The only requisite:  you must be able to say, "Did you want fries with that?"

There is no grace period on their phone calls.  They are relentless.  They will call you if you are 1 day past the due date.  They use robocalling and will call you at any number they have on file.  This includes your work number.  I consider them to be very unprofessional in this regard.  I will never do a mortgage, auto finance, or credit card with them ever again.  The sooner you get rid of Wells Fargo, the better!

I am a collector at wells fargo auto, it isn't a dream job. The job itself sucks, the benefits are pretty crappy too. I understand what a lot of you are saying. There is a lot of rudeness in this business, a lot of collectors do forget thatthey are dealing with PEOPLE, people in an economic situation that they sometimes can't control.
This is the one thing I always try and remember. I'm talking to a person. I'm talking to a person that I could become if some one in my family got sick or I got laid off. I'm talking to a human being that so
me collectors are rude to, for something called money that isn't even real. Money is an illusion, the American dollar isn't even backed by anything real. Why should another person, even a collector call some one and be rude, mean to another human being for money? I'm not sure, I don't understand it. I have always seen this position as an opportunity to meet and possibly help some one that is having a tough time.
So yes, I do feel for you having a bad experiebnce whether you were late on you payment or not.

Yeah i had them tell me to go to my church and get the money and then when i told them i wasn't going to do that they accussed me of not having a relationship with GOD or not being a member of a church.  Like that is any of anyones business!!!!

Whatever... i guees you think that we all want to be late on a payment and not pay our bills. Well i pay my bills and they still call!!!!!!!!!!  I have two babies and sometimes diapers come first!!!
Also, i have this number appear and it's not Wells Fargo it's CPS another auto loan debt collector!!  They all work together!!!

here is a good one , i have made every payment on time and never late for the past 3 yrs. now in july of 2011 payed twice by mistake called wells fargo and explained my situation now that does not seem like a problem just cancell on payment right, oh no what they did was cancell both my payments and then in August started calling me for a late payment?they informed me that the cancelled both payments by mistake but was still on the line for the late payment and the recent payment these people are nuts.

Wells Fargo Auto Finance is horrible.  They loved me when I was working and paid before my car note was due.  Now that I'm unemployed it seems as if they would like me to not pay my rent and sleep in the van I financed through them.  I know the collectors are just doing their job (which I wish I had right now), but it is also my job to try and keep what I have been making payments for.  So, the way I look at it, I'm their job security, if I pay then they'll be in the same unemployment boat as me.  I'm expecting a thank you letter not a million calls.

they call after i have made a payment. tell me a date last month was my last payment. when i go online and check account, they received the latest payment was posted two or tree days before they called me. So they lied with account information. they even threatened to take my car,   these people are out of control.  they call until my phone runs down. i cancelled my email because i no longer have internet. I go to the library instead.  so now they are throwing a fit because i dont update my info. dah not in this lifetime. I will continue to make my car payments which are only a few now, but i doubt i will be a return customer. kiss my gritts, wells fargo.

they call and call and call.  they have backed payments out when I made them two weeks early.  They have called and threatened to take the car if i don't make an immediate payment when it was overdue a few days.  They have charged fees as misc. fees.  what are those?  They stopped with the bank act.  never do business with wells fargo. they suck.  I had a savings account. when i lost my job they ate up my account with fees.  because i did not use it much.  Then they got nasty a few months ago, and closed it. of course you guessed it they kept the money in the account as admin fees.

talked to nthem about check senbt to the said they would not call until tuesday but they  called sunday and monday from diffewrent numbers also they give me different dates they say I sent my payment out on  that they can not find I know when I sent it to them

I got one from 605-226-7900. I have no debts except my car loan and I was a few days late mailing it this month, Im sure its Wells Fargo auto finance. I dont like the frrequency of the calls however.

If any of you are tired of all of these harassing phone calls from WFAF, please submit your name, address and phone number so that it may be turn over to an attorney for a class action law suit.  Personally, I am tired of stressing myself every day I am awake because these people won't leave me alone and I am ready to do something about it.  Tell all of your friends to submit this information as well to:  wfafclassactionlawsuit@aol.com.  Let's get together and DO IT.  Times are bad enough without all the harassment.

Bill -- you are the biggest and stupidest idiot I have ever seen on here - not to mention ignorant.  Some people do without just to make payments because its the only money coming in and a vehicle is the only possession to their name.  Times are hard for a lot of us right now - so take your cable and luxuries in life and shove them where the sun doesnt shine....

Wells fargo are so frustrating. They call my home number and my cell. One then the other. One then the other.
I answered said when I would make payment and I still get 8-10 calls a day. Ridiculous.

Basically they called and I missed it.  No big deal yet.  AS for student loans or credit cards I doubt thats why they called since we pay everything on time and have no student loans.

Wells fargo is an ok company with the exception of there calling practices.  It does not matter if you make arrangements with them or not regarding a payment you will remain on there auto call list and receive calls from various phone numbers.   Therefore i find no reason to communicate with them.

Every hour on the hour starting at 8 in the morning until 9 at night  7 days a week including holidays is not "just doiing their job".  It is disruptive to my work place.  ALthough, I do use their 8:30 am call as a back up to my alarm in case I oversleep or get the chance to sleep in after working late.

Really though they will call from 6/8pm and call back to back with a automated service!!!!! Get A LIFE

they send a text message "HELLO I GOT YOU NUMBER FROM MY FREND. GUESS WHO I AM! IM SHY... CREEY HUH? CHECK ME OUT AT GIZMO398...." and its a blank number

i mean are you serious?! its scary and then the same night.. they call 2 times from a private number. thats just weird okayy. someone needs to be stopped!
