You do realize that KU covers more then just the 859 area code, right?

Happened to me today. The transformer in our backyard blew out and I called it in and they asked me everything under the sun except my first born's name.  I told them  the Transformer Blew out and a neighbor called an electrician in the mean time and he came over and look and said it was the fuse and would take KU 15 min. to change it out. well 3 hours later and two calls from this number that had been disconnected...I decided to drive around our little town and I found a KU guy with a lift and asked him if he had received an outage report.  He looked at his big Laptop screen which I could see from my car and said no! And I asked if he was busy...he was pulled over just parked on the side of the street and he said not really and I asked him if he could fix our outage and he said yes.  So he followed me to my house and he fixed it!  I guess those stupid computers don't work like they should and that call back number should be reported to Frankfort because my dad's is on oxygen and 3 hours later I had to go chase a Kentucky Utility truck down. I think they are hiding! Why would they not have 859? Sickening service when so many people rely on them.

6062552100:  My gas company put out an alert that there is a scam going on where people call from this number (and other numbers) to say that they are with your gas company and there is one thing or another wrong with the service, gas line, etc.  I do not answer suspicious area codes, no caller ID, etc.  Best way to handle these calls is not to answer them.

I recd a call today from this number where they said there was a reported outage at my house. They verified my house number and when I said there was no outage they hung up. Called the number back and it was disconnected.

Please stop calling my home.  My health is not good and my husband's is worse.  He is a heart patient and these infernal telephone calls, especially when the caller does not leave a message is detrimental to both our health.  Please just leave us alone.

It was Kentucky Utilities checking if your power was on after the recent outages from the ice storm.

call came in at 4:11 AM on 2/1/09.  Thinking it might be a family member on the road I called back.  Received a recording that said the number was "not in service, disconnected, or out of order... message CH6."  None of this makes any sense.
