This was a text message and i have Verizon.

I got the same text...The alert and to call this number back...But i didnt,afraid i may be charged for something, so im not gonna call it...

Just got a text on my 12 yo. daughter's phone (thru Verizon), she IS on the do not call list.

I just recieved a text from the same number 607-2693052 about an alert e ppi card HDZD alert 125963 I don't know what this is

I work for verizon and just received a similar alert from that number. All your wireless provider can really do is block the number. I'm not sure outside of the company though. Maybe the BBB would another avenue to pursue?

Also got a similar message with that phone number.  I use Verizon as well.

I also received a text message with this number as a call back. This is ridiculous.

Just got a text from steve@circuiticket.com with some e#ppi card PWLP alert 798975 to call 607-269-3052 , sounds like it is a verizon issue.  I don't respond to anyone I don't recognize.

I just got one here. I'm Verizon as well. It said "e_ppi card MNDW alert 821596. call (607)-2693052. Clearly not from USA -- that's not how we format phone numbers here. Unfortunately, I can't call my cell phone carrier until I get home. I just don't want this coming up on my bill...

Ya I got the sane text from a CMADISON98@sprintpcs.com for a e_ppi card alert and to call that same number 607 269 3052

I have gotten two of those txt messages in about a four hour period. Has anyone gotten multiple and do they keep coming. Looking into getting to stopped

It's all CRAP. I'm calling Verizon right now since all texts from the web were supposed to be blocked.

I called the phone number from a land line telephone and it was a non-human recorded message for Eppi Card 24 hour banking. I assume this is not the actual EPPICard company. It instructs you to enter information as required to access your account information and then says to enter your 16-digit credit card number. Sounds like a phishing scam for sure to me. It sounds like they take advantage of people who depend on receiving state funds through EPPICards. EPPICards are credit/debit cards issued to people instead of checks to receive funds for child support for example. See link below.

I just got a text from that number too!  It says cmyers@gcu.cce.ppi card QNZY alert 334869. Call 6072693052.  I just know its a New York number.

I'm receiving similar texts telling me to call that number.  But the address is listed as sales@cwo.com. w/ e.ppi card ZQDH alert 385882 written into the message.  All I can find out is that the call number is a land line in Ithaca, NY.

Verizon is my carrier...had a similar text sent to me a few days ago but it was from an "unverified sender", not an email address.  I am just curious as to how my number is getting put on these phishing lists...I know I shouldn't, but am half tempted to call the number back!
