Several calls from this number on my cell phone.   I have opted out and still gets calls.

Needs to stop. Afraid if I call back and Opt-out they will sell my number to other compnanies.

Some cell phones already have call blocking on them, others you can google apps for. For land lines, consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn?t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ?Spoof Number? ? A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ?live one? and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ?press a key? to ?opt out?  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ?log? your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

I called them back and supposedly put myself on the Do Not Call list, and they keep calling--after 3 days.  They must call about 4 times a day.

Have received multiple calls from this # on cell and land line. Answered one or two, as it seemed to be a local call. When I picked it up, there was what seemed to be a recording. Now just ignore it. Would like to BLOCK it, but can't figure out how to do so.

These people call my cell two three times a day.  I can't turn my cell off because of family issues. I feel like I am mercilessly hounded from day to dusk for no good reason. Why is this legal?

Call comes in EVERY day/I am on the do not call registry

Calls repeatedly.  Does not leave message.  Wasn't thinking once and answered.  It was an automated telemarketer.

I get several calls from this number a day - they do not leave a voicemail and I when I answer - there is no one there.  Very annoying

Kay -- don't be naive.  A fine from one person reporting the call?  Doesn't work that way; wish it did.  Just block their number.  Of course these people are LOSERS who couldn't get  real jobs if their lives depended on it.  So they'll just call again from another number.  I hope there's a special after-life just for these scamming no good pests!  Or maybe some laws should get changed so that the scammers have fewer rights and the rest of us have more!!

This number has been calling me obsessively for the past two weeks. Up to four times a day. As soon as I answer a recording comes on stating that I can secure lower priced insurance. Very, very frustrating especially since I am on the Do Not Call registry.

I did call the number back after reading the posts here and I did have the ability to opt-out. Thank you!!!

Got a call from this number yesterday and filed a report right away since my cell number's been on the DNC list for years.  They called again today.  I sure hope you're right about them getting a fine.  Being on the registry hasn't seemed to make much difference AFAICT.

Got 6 calls in one day.  Who is this?

I am on a National "Do Not Call" list.  I am going to report this number and they will be slapped with a fine.  They also will be slapped with a fine, by NYS.  Just Imagine, if we all are on the "Do Not Call" list and we all report these calls, they will get a fine for each and every time they call.  That should put them out of business in a BIG hurry.  If you folks are all on the "Do Not Call" list, report these yahoos.

Have received many calls from this number.  Finally stayed on the line to speak to someone to ask them to stop calling.  Was hung up on.

answered call....automated message saying i am eligible for a lower rate on my electric bill.... press "0" to connect.

These people keep calling me and when I tell them to remove me from their call list, they say "good bye" and hang up. This is harassment. They ask me to tell them information on my electric bill.

I have received 2 calls a day from this number and cannot call it back as I get a recording to press 1 to discontinue the calls.  I have no idea what this is about so how can I make an informed decision about the call?   607-296-0048 stop calling me or leave a message I can respond to.

If its a land line, then google call blocking device or phones. For cells, some have it, others don't, but for some you can google and download the programs for them.
