These people are computer hackers - they gave me a call back number 1-801-620-6825 which may be bogus. One of the reps told me that he wanted to F my daughter after i strung him along with bogus information.  They bring you to the windows event viewer and tell you these messages are hackers and they want to hook your computer up so they have access to YOUR information

This number is being used by scammers who call people who have lost dogs.  They offer to search for your dog for a price and promise results or your money back.  They do not have people who search for dogs.

Received a phone call from 607-527-8800 with caller ID indicating New York. While looking at caller ID the number changed to 631-581-9211. Very strange so has to be another scam. Never answer unknown calls.

Received a call today at 3:55 pm. All interference when it went to the answering machine. It also came up as "PAYPHONE"
I called the number back and was told "The number you have called is no longer in service!" REALLY???  I just got a call from this number.. I am also on a DO NOT CALL LIST!!! Guess that's not working...

An indian man, who was very hard to understand because of his heavy accent, wanted to know which antivirus I have and sell me another. He said: "Are you in front of your computer?" and I said of course not, and I don't give out information to scammers. They want to get access to your pc/info and empty your bank account, which has happened to people I know here in Norway. The caller then wanted to explain to me that he was not a scammer. ?

Call from this number just before 11 pm tonight. Missed it but then got another from a different number 40 minutes later. That one just said "goodbye" after I answeres. Research points to both numbers being connected to computer scam.

received a phone call 07/09/13 at 11:20 pm central time. A man with an Indian accent spoke and asked for the owner of the home. The said a hacker was hacking into my computer and that I need to get on my computer so he could show me where the problem was. I hung up. I am also on the Do Not Call Registry.

I don't answer calls I don't recognize. This number shows NY,USA. I am on the don't call list.

They started calling me today 6-20-2013. The phone shows NY, USA. The phone is 607-527-8800.  I don't answer I just let my phone end and go to voicemail.  They don't leave message.  I also am on the do not call list.

Called about my Microsoft computer saying it had viruses. It is clearly a scam.

Got a call from the same #.  Male with a heavy accent said something about a computer.  Couldn't understand him.  Just said don't call here again & hung up.

Said they were from Microsoft and when I reminded them that Microsoft does not make phone calls they started abusive swearing

I just got a call from this number. i didnt answer because who would be calling me from a 607 area code?
well the person said HELLO into the answering machine like 20 time. I was tempted to pick it up and tell them to efff off :)

Just scam them back. Unless they can provide you with a call back number it is ascam.

I just got a call from this person claiming that I have an internet breach and they would help me fix it.
When I asked where they were calling from I got a responsible call centre I asked how they got my number the person told me that my information was sent via the internet to say that I had a breach. What will these scammers come up with next. When I asked for a call back number to verify that it was indeed a legit call they hung up but not before I told them that as we speak I just hit trace call so I could report to police.

Just got another call.  Said we have a virus on computer.  Told him that I was going to call Bill Gates for my problem.  Said he was going to crash my computer.

Got a call from this number tonight at around 7:30 p.m. Something about viruses etc. When I said I wasn't comfortable with it he tried to push me further. Then when I said that it sounded like a scam to me he hung up immediately. I don't know the company he was calling from because he had a deep accent and spoke very quickly.

My wife received a call around 2:30 p.m. today. A man with a thick Indian accent claimed he was from Windows and he received a message that there was an issue with her computer. Obviously this is a highly effective scam dubbed the "Ammyy" Security Patch Phone Scam.

Just a hang up at 8:30 am.  But I have had ther "your compter has a virus" phone call before.  They really had me going, said they were from Microsoft, showed me on my computer the problem, about to fix it suddenly it cost $489.  What?  I halted the proceedings.  My son actually does work for Microsoft so I called him.  He told me my computer was fine, I didn't need to pay any money and sent me documentation about a company that had had a contract with Microsoft but lost it due to their tactics.  They called me back, I told the guy what my son said, he shouted"your son is a liar! ".  Way to be professional.
