I got a call today and got them annoyed.  I said the name of a restaurant, and they didn't know what to say.  I said hello Did you need to cancel the reservation?  Then I said, hold on, Let me get 'Jeff', and then I heard a click.. LOL!!!!

got one today, at 11 am to my cell, Indian accent. saying was for the legal department. I have this cellphone number for 2 + years and OMG previous owner must have been really broke, I get calls from chase for withdrawals, collection agency's and now from this place. UGHHH!!!! Annoying!!!  

I keep getting a call from this number. Every time I go to answer it hangs up, so I call it back and every time it says the magic Jack number is not available.... I just want to know who it is.

Got the same phone call except I knew it was a scam ahead of time I told him I knew and he began to sexually harass me over the phone and even told me to s*** his***** ... I had my few choice words for him and then blocked the number from calling again

Iv been getting calls from 607-795-7547 for two days and i called back both days and the first day it said verizon wireless customer is not available. the second day it said magicjack number not available. this number is a scam or something.

I forgot to add that they have tried to call my work too. But I'm the one who answers the phone so it did them no good.

These people called me and told me I was approved for a loan that I had applied for online a few months ago. Then after I gave them all of my information, including my bank account and routing numbers, they told me I didn't get approved after all but if I would go get a prepaid credit card and send them a good faith payment they would approve me for an even larger loan amount. At that point I knew I'd been scammed and told them no. I went the following day and closed by bank account. The following week they called and left me a voicemail saying they were calling from an attorney's office and that I was being sued for defaulting on a loan and nonpayment, etc. When I called back, the woman didn't ask for any identifying information from me, but had all of my information just from my phone number. She told me I was being sued for defaulting on a loan and they were pressing felony fraudulent bank charges and that if I didn't pay them they would come to my work and arrest me and she hoped that I had a great trip down town and that she prayed for me because of the awful things that would happen to me if I didn't pay. I told her the whole thing was a joke and a scam and hung up on her. Then they called my phone over 20 times in the next two days. When that didn't work they changed number several times and have also used a private number to try to get in touch with me. They called today from this number. These people need to be stopped. I'm gathering all of my information, including recorded voice mails and phone conversations with them to send  to the FCC and the Attorney General.

I just received a phone call from a number in Texas 817 400 5178 saying I qualified for a loan up too 4 thousand dollars but I had to wire them money from Wal-Mart on a voucher so I asked them are they registered with the BBB he informed me that they were and I could call 6077957547 and this girl named Jennifer Bush would answer and she would verify that they are a real company. So me thinking it was a scam I called that number and yes the Jennifer person answered the phone and said she would give me their licences number for them to be able to loan money in the US the licences number she gave me was CA00154236. I did not send any money the crazy thing that made me think it was a scam was when I asked about the BBB and he told me who would answer we all know the same person doesn't answer when you call somewhere like the BBB.  I am glad they didn't get me and I am glad this web is available for all to see I hope they get caught b4 they get more money from others. Creepy man with indian accept told me he wanted me to give him my personal cell phone. Calling me honey. Said he is calling from US Cash Advance. Very vulgar.

I THOUGHT i was at Money Mutual's website.  However Graceful typing put me elsewhere, and i failed to noticed (i kinda earned this one).  Either way, i received a call (assuming it was loan companies offering me loans, like i was getting all day), i said "Not interested" and hung up.  Literally 2 seconds later, they called back stating they were not a loan company, and that there are law suits filed against me in my name.......  In the state of New York (I'm from Boston).  I immediately ask to speak to a manger.....  Surprise, surprise, he has an Indian accent too!  Long story short, i shoot his call full of holes, use a few less classy choice of words and made threats against their houses....... Either way, i put a fraud alert with the bureaus, filed a complaint with the FTC, and let my bank know.  I have a 3 year old and I don't make tons of money, so when someone tries to steal from me, i don't handle it well, so i try my best not to be stupid, and cover my a**.  I suggest you do the same, people.

I just got a call from the same number as of all you guys. It is a huge scam to get money from people so they can pay their bills. They need to be found and prosecuted.

I just received a call from 607-7957547 telling me that i'm being sued for i don't know what.I knew it was a scam since the guy on the phone was telling me that i am to appear in court the next day in a New York Supreme court! can you imagine how that sounds since i live in Indiana? Anyway i told him that i have a clean record and i haven't done anything to get sued.. i'm just in high school. I got frustrated over the phone since he was insisting that i was gonna get arrested the next day and i told him that i'm studying for a midterm and never to call me. BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS!

This number 607-795-7547 has done the same to me as people who have posted. Because of the government shut down, there isn't much recourse right now, which is why they are doing it again. Do not believe them. I was at work at googled the number and this thread came up. When I asked him if this was the same scam that ABC News featured (link at the top of this thread) he said "What scam? SHUT UP! Now I will read you this affidavit" and I hung up. Do not call these people back. It's a waste of your time and energy.

These guys are TOTAL SCAM ARTIST! They claim to have a case pending against your SSN and want you to verify the last four digits of the social so that they can make sure they are talking to the right person. DO NOT VERIFY ANYTHING! because if you verify ANY PART of your SSN it gives them leeway to steal your identity (trust me, i know. I've been in this situation before). The caller that left a message had a SERIOUS Indian accent and said his name was David Miller (I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT!) and told me to call back. When I called I got a woman who had a MIDWEST accent (maybe Minnesota, Iowa or Wisconsin). She said she was just the secretary and put me thru to my "case worker" Mr. Xavier Marshall. He became rude and irate saying he was going to have the police come and arrest me. I told him that's not true because that's not how my state works. He told me to just wait and see. Unfortunately, I used some "colorful language" (which I shouldn't have, but did). I told him I had proof he was a scam artist and the # is ALL OVER THE INTERNET identifying as so and NOT to call again. BOY DID HE GET UPSET MORE! (especially when I laughed). I hung up and blocked the number. I'm suggesting you do the same and NOT let this "company" get to you and cause undue stress. THEY ARE FRAUDS!!!

I got more than 20 calls today to my personal and to my work number from 607-795-7547. He identified himself as  David Miller, an attorney from Federal Legislation Services, Legal Department.  He is a attorney and  I have Federal Charges for money laundering and student loan fraud.  
Kathy Porter says that she was hired by the State Attorney General, Eric Scheiderman and that she could not give me his number as she was hired by him to handle the case.  She gave a fax number of 206-202-7343 so I could write my complain.  The number to call to solve this was 607-795-7547.  
To this is that I have no student loan no business with any of what they claim I was doing.  THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM.

When I got to work today 9/13/13 I had a message from a David Miller phone number 607-795-7547 about a legal matter..smh people r so desperate to get money.. if they put all that time and energy and put in applications maybe I have a real job..so sad..i can't wait for them to return my call bcuz im going to give them a peace of my mind

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I was told by someone they were from a "legal department" however no company name was ever given. They said they were calling to tell me I had a federal case pending. They said that it was a complaint against my name and SS# and it would be "downloaded to court." They claimed they wanted my attorney's infomration so they could send them the documents. They get very upset when you interrupt them asking them pertinent questions because they can't answer you and can't pull their scheme. The guy eventually hung up on me, so I called back and it goes to a voicemail box immediately. They are all foreign individuals and it is completely bogus.

I keep getting calls from this person (David Miller) with a heavy accent, on my cell and at my place of emplyment. Same story as everyone who posted a note on this website. When I suggested that he speak to my attorney he hung up. Per advice from my attorney, I suggest that if you recieve a call from anyone from the phone number you should contact your state attorney's office and report them.

I applied for a payday loan and that was the worst thing I did. I received a call from a Travis Parker stating that I was being sued by 2 different sources and I would be arrested tomorrow morning for fraud. He said that u applied for several payday loans in one day and didn't pay for an application fee. He also said that my ss# and I'd will be taken from me and I wouldn't be able to drive or work for 7 years plus i may have to do jail time. I was so scared I felt like I was being framed for something I didn't do. He than said i may be able to have my freedom if I paid him a restoration fee of $735.00, I went inside and spoke to my co worker she said hang up its a scam. These people are freaking evil and they deserve to be punished to the full extent. Sorry for those people who paid these sob's

I received a call from this number from someone with a heavy accent stating that either I or my attorney need to call him right away and that "if you do not call then what befalls you is your fault." They closed with a "god bless you." Very weird.

I called back from a different phone and was told that this was the "Federal Legislation Department of Cyber Crimes." A Google search shows that no such agency exists.

Just received a call at work from 607-795-7547 the man on the phone would not answer any of the questions that I asked him, like who is suing me etc... he told me I needed to call Xavier Marshal at 607-795-7547 x1211... you are calling me from the same number and cant transfer me... so I hung up and called back. Received an answering machine. Called back again, spoke with some man asked him what the company name was he said " A law firm" I then asked him the name of the Law Firm he replied "Law Enforcement Services" I told him the my employer is a Lawyer and the before I continue this conversation I need to speak with him since you are telling me I need an attorney. Guy hung up and when I called him back told me to stop calling that I would just be arrested... I was replied "Yea ok, if this was real you would not have hung up on me and you would not be telling me to stop calling. I then told him that if he called me again I would notify my local authorities because what they are doing is illegal.

A man calling himself Mike Barnet called my job and left a phone nouber 6077957547 with my co-manager and said that I should call him asap. He said he is a Federal Legisture and need to speak with me.
I call the nexd day from 8:am to 2:30pm before I could speak to someone,all the time there was an answing mechine with a woman voice.When I finally got thru to her,she transfer me to a man calling himself Marshell with a Asian voice.He said that I had tried to steal money from people and they have filed a law sue with the Federal Govement.I was to be arrested anytime from then if I did not send him the amoune of $4958.30 by 5pm the same day.He said that he was the lawer of these people and if I did what he said,he would talk to them to drop the case.
These guys are all from Asia and have connection in America.Their connection in the US inform them on how things work here and they use this to steal from people here.
