This number calls my home everyday, several times a day.  No one says anything, disconnects quickly.  I suspect it is an auto-dialer.  When I call the number, it is a pager.

...and because telemarketers don't like to be treated badly but many times do not take a "no i'm sorry i'm not interested at this time" for an answer, i just don't take long distance, toll free, "unknown", "unavailable", "private" or other such calls. I do own a business and i don't have the time to carry on a long conversation with someone as to why i do not need a postage machine and free steaks to omaha steakhouse. they don't want to be treated badly and i do not wish to treat them badly and in order to avoid that confrontation i do not take their calls.

oh by the way, i do not "sell" a service. at least not in the sense that has been stated. we do no advertising, be it print, phone, radio, tv... no form of media is used... we are strictly "word of mouth" and our "selling" is restricted to doing a reputable job for the client, so no i don't appreciate someone trying to sell me something i do not want or need.

i did not take this call because it was an out of state area code and from the sounds of it, i am glad i didn't. mostly, it sounds like hangups and unprovoked rude responses.

This number calls my office, DAILY.  When I answer, they immediately hang up.  There are no words uttered, they just hang up.  When I do let it go to voice mail, they hang up there too.  Nothing said....Just "click" and dial tone.  SICK OF THIS!!!

They just called again, I answered, in a deep male voice, and low and behold, SHE TALKED TO ME!!!!!!!  She was with Amerisist, "An Account Payable Debit Company". Asked if we had need of her services and I told her no.  Hopefully they will stop calling now!!!!!!!!

Hangs up as soon as we say 'hi' or sometimes there is someone requesting to talk to me 'Dave' while my real name is 'David' and as soon as I answer 'speaking' they hang up again!

They call, as soon as I answer, they hang up.

This is a telemarketer that only has to make a connection to log in calls for the day. This person(s)at that location is not interested in talking to you they are only logging the call to show their boss they're working, but in reality they're just shaming their company filling in time for the day till they get caught. There's really nothing you can do when workers are only interested in shaming off. It's just a new way the worker has found to be non productive. If you're a telemarketer and want respect then find these people yourself and police your industry. Then maybe people won't be so rude when you call.

I'm tired of this telemarketing crap.  To the telemarketer on page 1:  "If I need something, I have the Yellow Pages and the internet.  I don't need the interuption to my day nor the agressive manner presented.  I have been put on the "Do not call" list, and maintain that anyone calling is not a member of the DMA so is not reputable.

Further, when I see "unavailable" on the caller ID, I just let it ring.  If it's important, they should leave a message

Woman called the other day asking for me.  My receptionist told her that I don't take solicitation calls.  Woman tells my receptionist "like hell he don't" and insisted that I take the call.  My receptionist told her to remove our company from their call list and this woman told my receptionist to stick the phone up her you know what and that she is not removing us from the list and is going to call everyday until I take the call.  I tried to call this number back and it was disconnected???

Telemarketers suck,you can try for "your right" but your on the wrong end of the phone, you called us. We don't want to talk! Or should I get out the crayons....get a clue.

I have had 2 calls just today from this number. I do answer the phone and there is no one there.
I tried calling back and it says it is not in service.

I have gotten calls from 614-848-1111 so many times , I can pretty much w/o looking at the CID that its "them" . I contacted the FCC (1-888-225-5322 )and filed a report and was told I should then call my local police / sheriff , which I did following that . So if there is enough complaints to the local level , maybe we can stop the idiots .

614-848-1111 called me and no one was there. This is in fact illegal as hell. They have 2 seconds, by law for the recording to start or someone to start talking.

Some of you have complained Why don't the FCC/FTC do something, they WILL if you report them. Go to FTC.gov and report it. They take every report serious and the more the complaints the faster they shut them down. Keep in mind that California and Ohio are both hot beds for scammers due to weak laws.

Got the call again today, no one would answer. I said hello a few times and put the phone on speaker and just set it down. After a few minutes some one hung it up.

I reported them to the FTC and the attorney general of Ohio.

I will keep doing this every time they call. I suggest each one of you do the same.

I got calls from this number. No one there when I answer the call.  Call it back and I got a message not in service , how it is possible?  FED-UP!!!? It is total crap of FCC. We should stop paying money to FCC.

They keep calling once a week. If you answer it hangs up, call them back you get a recording from the phone company that the phone # is not in service!????????

They call me everyday. Sometimes the number leaves a message, sometimes not. Why are they calling me?

I BELEIVE IT IS A CALLER MACHINE I WORK FOR A COMPANY WHO HAS A LOT OF DEAD BEAT DEBTORS OUT IN THE FIELD. AFTER THAT NUMBER CALLS AND THERE IS NEVER ANYONE THERE THEN ABOUT MINUTE GOES BY AND I WILL ALWAYS RECIEVE A CALL FROM A BILL COLLECTOR LOOKING  FOR ONE OF THOSE ABOVE MENTIONED.
PRETTY SURE IT IS JUST CHECKING FOR LIVE PEOPLE ANSWERING THE # TO NOTIFY THE COMPANY TO CALL THE # BACK WHEN SOMEONE DOES ANSWER.
YOU WILL ONLY GET ONE A DAY UNLESS YOU PICK UP.

Just received a call from this number, no one at the other end, if there is they will not say anything. Strange, strange, strange. Would like to have them outside with me and my friend kick a**.

This person or company continues to call our business line. They do not leave a message ever.  Needless to say, once we see a Caller-ID without a name we recognize, the call goes unanswered.

Every landline phone customer should make sure that their correct name is displayed on the Caller-ID. The phone company has not resposible for making sure the names are consistant with their billing records.
