Someone claiming to be from Verizon called and left a voicemail about going over on my minutes. I checked and saw that I am nowhere near actually going over (I hardly ever use my cellphone, anyway). Verizon would never actually call someone to warn them they are about to incur additional charges, they're more than happy to charge you extra. Don't give these people any personal information. If you are concerned about actually incurring overage charges, call Verizon DIRECTLY (the number is on your bill - 1.800.922.0204) or go to My Verizon at www.verizonwireless.com. Do not call the number these people give you.

I've had a few numbers from this call, as well as some from an 888 number, from Verizon. they tried to tell me that I'm in danger of going over my minutes (which is false, i'm 82 minutes in to a 500 minute a month calling plan.). they admited their mistake but then turned around and tried to charge me for data that I didn't use. they said my phone could have connected to the internet while banging around in my purse (?!), and that I owe them $40 for being connected to the internet for a half hour. yeah, no. I plan on filing a formal complaint about this. if you recieve a call from this number I suggest you take it up with Verizon through their customer service number.

A real Verizon Wireless company would call using a 1-800 or 1-877 toll free number. This phone number shows up as a cell phone number on reverse search. The call is coming from Franklin, Tennessee. Verizon letters come from Dublin, OH and payments are to be mailed to Dallas, Texas according to invoice. The person making these calls may work for Verizon Wireless (or CenturyLink - local house phone company associated with offering services with Verizon Wireless).  Person(s) may also be involved with IRS identity theft. Last bill paid in full and services cancelled after family member passed. This number called Florida resident 2-3 weeks later. A few weeks later someone from Tennessee stole identity of Florida resident (social and name). They filed a fraudulent tax return on a deceased person. IRS confirms. This number is coming from Tennessee. BEWARE!!!

Event Reminder
It was just verizon calling me to tell me I was in jeopardy of going over my plan minutes. Actually I really appreciate a call like this I ended up getting 150 FREE bonus minutes so that I would not be charged for any overages...:)

Received a call from this number. Didn't answer, didn't know who it was. If Verizon, they could at least leave a message or send me a text like I usually get from them.

This is a Verizon Wireless Marketing number.  They are obnoxious and call up to 10 times a day.  They will call all your numbers in their system constantly trying to get you to upgrade your phone &/or plan.  I suggest calling the main Verizon # on your account and filing a complaint.  They will remove you from their call list.
