THEY CALL NOBODY THERE. I CALL THAT NUMBER BACK AND THEIR IS NO SUCH NUMBER. IT IS NON WORKING NUMBER

It some sleaze trying to pretend that they are checking your Yeoow Page info for the web. Typical clowns trying to sell advetising or something along those lines

I just handled a spam calls as well. It took me at least one and a half hours to get off the phone with these idiots.  My heart is racing I'm so angry with them. They wanted me to answer "yes" to a question that I would accept them mailing me some information. I told them they could mail all the info they want, but I will NEVER say YES to their recording. I talked to 3 different people before I finally got off the phone.

NOTICE - You may all want to call your local phone company and have them put a block on your account so that no one except you can add anything to your bill. I called to report this abuse to our customer service and she suggested I do that just to be on the safe side.

This party keeps calling our number and it is extremely disturbing to our work program to pick up the phone only to have them hang-up.  I find it curious that this caller slips past the "Do Not Call" program.  I shall call the local phone company, request a block on our account and see if this finally stops!

619-262-8778 calls and I answer and I hear stuff in the background, then they hang up. When I called the number, I get a recording that it is not a working number.

We recieved 4 calls from this number in the same day. Claiming to be from Verizon and then from yellow pages trying to update our listing for free. He said his name was Steve, in later conversations he was Frank. When he was told I didn't have authority to renew our listing he got very upset, and I hung up on him. When he called back and was asked where he was calling from he again got upset. Each time he tried to stay on the phone by arguing and was hung up on.

No name on Caller ID, but I Googled the number, and it comes back as Snapper's Fish & Chips in San Diego. They didn't leave a message, so next time I'm in San Diego, I'll pop in and see why they called me. I'm betting the fish & chips place isn't trying to sell me a business listing in a directory I've never heard of.

His name is being slander and thats not far, we just got this number yesterday. but I am really mad at AT&T we are disconnting services with them and staying with cox. I am so sorry everyone...i was issused this number yesterday from AT&T. I have had people calling me about this number being a telemarketing business. This is my new number and i will have it changed ASAP.

Received calls yesterday from caller ID 619-262-8778.  Please be very careful when answering "yes" to any questions.  Embarq warned me that these telmarketers are able to take your "yes" answer and patch it to another questions.  This apparently happened to me and I ended up with recurring monthly charges of $12.95 from something called Personal Voice billed through The Billing Center.  It took me approx. 2 months of constant phone calls to Embarq to get this resolved (who, of course, did not take any responsibility for the charges even though they were passing them along to me).  Just be careful to not respond "yes" to anything.

Received several calls over the last week from what caller ID shows as 1-619-262-8778. We are a business and upon answering with our business name, there is a pause then hang up.

Got a call from 619-262-8778 at a very inopertune time. After I SCREAMED into the phone to the non-English speaking jerk I called the number back  - same as other post - got message that the number was not in service. You REALLY REALLY need to call the "Do Not Call" registry at 888-382-1222. My call was to NC so I then called the US Attorney General Office for NC at 828-251-6083 to file a nuisance call report. If EVERYone does this we MAY be able to slow the calls down. Although it is somewhat entertaining to tell a total stranger to F off every now and then! Especially when they are probably calling from Pakistan!

Received 11 calls between May-August 2007 at work. Same m.o. as most --poor English, claiming to be from Local Business Directory. Didn't sound too local to me, so that's about as far they ever got.

I am getting calls from this number also.

Received two calls from 619-262-8778. No one there when  I answer. Obviously coming from overseas call center. Caller ID says California.

I have asked them to take us off their list numerous times and they just keep talking. It is AGAINST the law for them to keep trying to sell me when I say that. SCAMMERS.

Just got a first call from this UNKNOWN NUMBER, but I've learned not to answer out-of-area calls, as they never leave a message.  First thing I do is Google the number, and I envariably end up finding out that they're solicitors.

I just got the same number on my cell phone.  This is the second call from this number in about 2 weeks.  Both times there is no one on the other line.

I just received the same call!  He, too, was VERY persistant and I told him I had a customer walking in and asked if he would want me to lose a sale in order to "verify."  He was very rude!  Where is this coming from?

I am getting about 3 calls every day from them.  Most of the time they hang up before I get to talk to them.  It is very annoying when you are trying to answer the phone to help people and then you have to deal with those idiots.    I have also found that trying to have the number removed from the call list does not work.

I could not understand the caller when he said who he was calling for. After asking twice who was calling he hung up.  Maybe I need to perfect my dumb act to stop them from calling.  What is happening to being on a no call list anyway?

619-262-8778. Caller said he needed to confirm info for our business for yellow pages. I confirmed what he already had. Then he asked for my position and I said I would confirm any info he already had but would not provide any additional info. He argued and wanted to speak to the owner. I asked him to remove our number from his list, he still argued with me. I again told him to remove the number from his calling list and he hung up on me.

The ppl from this number claim to be from my phone company needing me to verify my address for the yellow pages. I asked them since they are with my phone company shouldn't they have that info. Then they changed the story and said they were from Yellow Book. They wanted my name and date of birth. I hung up and called my phone company and Yellow Book. They said they would never call any customers to verify this info. I don't know what they want but they will not quit calling. They called today and asked for me and when I said it was me they hung up. If anyone knows how to trace these ppl please post.

I have been getting this call for about 2 weeks now.  It is the same thing everytime.  The caller is delayed at picking up the line.  Then the caller tries to tell me something in such poor English, that I couldn't pick up anything they are saying.  I ask them for a call back number after saying "What?.", then saying I can't understand a word you are saying.  Is there someone there who speaks English?"  They hang up.  Don't bother calling back, they have a recording saying the number is not working.  Scammers.   They have been calling my cellular phone, which is really odd.  I would love to find out who they are, so I could have litigation against them for calling my Cell.

For Days now I've been getting calls over and over again from 619-262-8778. I run a small business and when I see that number come up I just don't answer it. They still keep on calling though. Please see if something can be done to stop this harrasment.
