They use a series of numbers in the 619-273-5614 range (5614, 5615, 5616, 5925). When a new one calls I block it which seems to send their computer into a frenzy  The next time that number calls it will dial me 5 times within a minute,  then try again the next day with another 5 attempts.  My phone doesn't ring on these but their number appears on my AT&T Uverse phone log.  After 10-20 total attempts over 2-3 days they will change the number.  They call 7 days a week between 10:00am and 8:15pm   My guess is they are spoofing the number that shows up in caller ID which would explain why so many people who attempt to call them back are told the number is disconnected.

Besides reporting this A-hole to the FTC, try using the call blocking and call forwarding features of your phone system. I had calls from all of his numbers (he just changes the last digit) forwarded to the FTC in Washington, DC!

multiple calls.  same experience as others - if you answer, silence.  if you don't answer, no message left.  Yikes!

They call many times every day and always hang up.  Automated caller so I believe it is illegal to not come on the line when you answer.

I get at least 2-3 calls a day from this number.  It comes up as National Cit CA 619-273-5914.  When I pick up, they stay on the line for a while and then disconnect.  If I call the number, it says the number is disconnected.   How do I block it?

They call me about once a day and when I answer the phone, they immediately hang up.

I've been getting phone calls from this number twice a day for about 3 weeks.
when I answer, they just hang up and when I called back, it shows that the number is disconnected.
So, today, I file a complaint with the fcc.
lets hope this fixes the problem.

I answered the phone and no one was there.  I heard the click and it was disconnected.

Another bunch of criminals trying to scam people out of their money.

The male caller from this number is a rude and obtuse SOB claiming to represent "Energy Research of CA".  Tried to call back the number after caller was disrespectful and hung up on wife, but get recording of number disconnected.  Suggest to everyone who gets these types of calls to tell the caller to hold on because you have an "urgent call on other line" or another emergency matter.  After placing caller on hold, just walk away and smile......and go about whatever you were doing before this scammer interrupted you!!

Too bad I can't physically locate the caller......he would be wise to try and outrun me if I did!
