Got a phone call from this number - came across as J. Carlos - recognized the area code as San Diego, so figured it must have been a wrong number.  They left no voice mail so I called them back.  Surprisingly, they can't find my number in their database  (what database?) and apparently neither can they.  So, I am very hopeful that they won't be calling again.

MARK D. WALSH [#206059], 44, of San Diego was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on three years? probation with an actual 30-day suspension and ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Nov. 28, 2013.

The State Bar Court found that Walsh repeatedly failed to obey court orders in seven collection lawsuits in which he represented the plaintiff creditors. In 2002, Walsh started a statewide debt-collection practice called Legal Recovery Law Offices Inc. In June 2011, he began missing multiple scheduled court hearings and conferences, a problem he later blamed on his computerized case-management and calendaring system and the post office for not delivering all his mail.
In mitigation, at the time of his misconduct Walsh had suffered an extremely serious injury that almost led to his death. He also presented testimony from six character witnesses and showed remorse for his wrongdoing.
Walsh had one prior record of discipline, a 2008 private reproval for failing to report judicial sanctions.

He wanted me to confirm my ID. I said to do that he first had to state his first and last name, social security #, mother's maiden name, home address and phone number. If he had children I needed their names and the schools they attended.

The representatives from Legal Recovery Law Offices have called me, my wife and my three minor children on numerous occasions demanding information and threatening legal action. I believe they represent Capitol One and I do not owe Capitol One nor do my minor children.

I have asked them to stop calling and requested documentation that I owe this debt and have received no information and the harassing calls continue.

I also received a call today from this so called company asking to speak to a person that doesn't exist. I told them I would not answer any of their obnoxious questions until they identified who they were and what they were looking for and the woman refused to answer any of my questions.

This company is unbelievable..they are the rudest staff I've ever encountered. They can't answer any of my questions and are extremely disrespectful. I have never been spoken to in the manner they spoke to me. Still speachless.  Whom can I report this too?

I have received several call several times from this number they don't identify themselves as a business.  When picking up the call they are looking for a Jane Smith when I ask who it is they ID themselves as Rebeca.  When I proceed to ask her to identify the company she is representing she claims it's LRLO.  I need to continue to ask questions until they identify LRLO as Legal Recovery Law Offices.  I've told the that they have the wrong number but yet they are very aggressive claiming that the phone call is being recorded (without previously mentioning it).  They threaten legal action against me for protecting Jane Doe, who I don't even know.  They are very rude and verbally abusive.

Just received a call from these people. They did NOT leave a message.
Called from 619-275-4001. I figure if it's a legit debt with a legit law firm they would have my physical mailing address. I'm listed with the post office.

Called and asked for someone other than me, but refused to tell me why.  Phone is listed and paid by me alone.  This is not the first call.

Got a call from this number, didn't answer as it said "unknown name" above number.  A very sweet sounding woman left a message saying she was in HR and wanted to verify references for a job applicant. Asked for someone to call her back at a toll free number, then said to use "a reference number" and gave that, adding that when I call back, for me to give that reference number.  Gave no company name, nor the name of the supposed person she wanted to "verify". Obviously, from reading the posts above, this was complete rubbish!

Caller ID showed 'Legal Recovery' did not pick up, came straight here.

Caller ID says Legal Recovery.  Called and left no message on machine.  We have no outstanding debt so I don't know why they would call.

they call and if you don't answer they call right back. and  well leave a message with who ever answers the phone.If it the person or not. Or if they know them or not.

Did bank pay their bill or they have Obummer bail them out?

Just received a call from this number, and the person did leave a voicemail.  He did mention the call was to attempt to collect a debt.  I then received another call within 3 minutes of the last, but they did not leave a message the 2nd time.  I've apparently received calls in the past from this number, because I had saved it to a contact called Junk with a silent ringtone.  I tend to do that when I get repeat calls with no voicemails.

These people have been harrassing my family and actually called a business coach I used about 5 years ago saying I put her down as a reference!!!!!!  I have NO idea how they could have even put the two of us together!  They are VERY rude and when I mentioned that they are breaking the law calling these people they shot back that they were a law firm and know the law.  Also they mentioned to my old business coach that they were trying to collect a debt which I know is against the law.

I like how you make your message post sound so nice and pleasant.  How about we post transcribed copies of your actual phone calls?  You people are the nastiest collection firm out there.  You're nothing but a bunch of liars who ABSOLUTLY WILL NOT WORK WITH DEBTORS and you threaten them with wage garnishment if we do not accept your horrendously large down payment and monthly payments.You have no interest whatsoever with working with debtors to come up with monthly payments that fit within our budgets.  Why don't you speak the truth.  I got news for you.  I will be filing complaints galore until some government agency finally raises an eyebrow and looks into your firms deceptive collection practices.

Left a message at my business for someone that doesn't work here. Have never received any mail for person left on message. Wish they would stop calling.

Its bluff my call- they can mimic your employer's number or your son's number- they are trying to get you on the line- they want an admission that you are the debtor- they trick you with caller id

an auto dialer is calling your number.  its a crap shoot hoping they will get a sucker on the line.

Caller ID, and no message. Researched on the internet. Pretty shady outfit. Hmm, imagine that! I have NO oustanding debt, good or bad. My proof? Recent copies of my credit report from all 3 credit reporting agencies showing a clean record. Wow! Doing a great job there, Legal Recovery Services! My next step, contacting my attorney. I don't have a personal phone to be harrassed by scammers, scumbags, shady businesses or any other bottom feeders filling up my caller ID and/or answering machine with non existant "business"!

I received a call from this number. Showed on my caller ID, no message on my answering machine. I owe nothing to nobody. I've even got recent copy of my credit report showing my record is clean.

Then they shouldn't mind proving the debt with a debt validation letter. The info on a report means NOTHING in the scheme of things. Even if you know its your debt, you have every right to make the collection agency prove how they came to the amount they are demanding/suing for. You should also check to make sure its not timebarred or zombie debt. If its beyond the SOL, tell them to pound sand!
