They call every day. I am to the point i dont even answer my phone at all anymore. I figure anyone who knows me will leave a voicemail. As frustrating as texting can be, at least i know who is contacting me. I use text more then anything now days because of idiots like this calling me. Stop calling cause i will never ever answer a number i do not recognize. You are waisting your time, not mine.

Sounds like a violation. How do we track it back to the source and turn them in?

S. 30: Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009

"12/22/2010--Public Law. (This measure has not been amended since it was passed by the Senate on February 23, 2010. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009 - Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to make it unlawful for any person in the United States, in connection with any telecommunications service or Internet protocol (IP)-enabled voice service, to cause any caller identification (ID) service to transmit misleading or inaccurate caller ID information with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value"

You do not have to be registered on the do not call list to report this since it is a recorded message.  Go there and file a complaint.  I tried to talk to them and they hung up on me when I stated I was on a do not call list.

They claim to reduce credit rates. When you ask how they got your number, they hang up.

Forward allof your junk calls to 1-800-525-2956. This is Cardmember Services corporate office. It's tended by a live person. Call and harrass them. Send their own calls to them as I have been doing. On your cell, type this number into the "forward when busy" field in call forwardind settings. Every time you hit the decline button, it forwards the call to this number. Beat them at their own game. Until DNC starts doing their job, fight back by annoying the bejesus out of them. It might not stop them but, at least it's personally satisfying.

I received a call from this number that showed on caller ID as "wireless caller".  I pressed "1" to "find out how to reduce my credit card interest rate".  The woman who came on the line claimed that my credit card company had asked them to call me and they were making sure that the banks are complying with the new laws.  When asked which credit card company had given them my number she could not tell me.  She said they worked with all of them.  She said that their company is "Cardmember Services" in Tempe.  She would not give me any more information.  She hung up as I was asking for more details.  I called the number back and it said that that person is not available.  This is a huge SCAM-SCAM-SCAM.

They just called me about 5 minutes ago.  There are people talking in the background like it's a warehouse operation.  Very unprofessional.  The girl who called me was very young.  I asked which credit card company she was with and she said "Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover" - I said which company? She says, "don't you have any of those?"  I then said hey I'm on the Do Not Call List and she immediately hung up.

They sound to me to be fishing for credit card numbers.

Hoax-I'm sure. Getting several calls on my cell phone and when I press "1" and actually get someone, ask who they are, they hang up.  When I call the phone number back, I get an automated message saying this is the mailbox belonging to Mike anderson and that the mailbox is full.

I just heard a message from Clark Howard.  He said to watch out for calls like this, especially since they don't know your card number or bank name.  He said that they will sometimes ask if you have a card number beginning with **** and they give you four digits that are the beginning of a commonly used card.  If you say "yes", they then ask for the rest of your number and your three-digit code on the back.  It is obvious that they are simply trying to steal by using your account.  I got a call from that number this morning.  I did not answer it and they did not leave a voicemail.

I received a call from them today, and they wanted to lower all my credit cards I have.  So, I asked them who they were with, they said Card Member Services.  I have a Credit Card with Card Member Services, but I have never received a phone call from the company unless it was security related.  So, I proceeded to talk to them, lead them on, and made pleasant conversation.   After that, I told them I couldn't continue the conversation at that time, and that they would need to call me back.  After this point, I called Card member Services, and they don't have that number connected to them, plus as I already knew, they couldn't offer me services for different banks they are not affiliated with.  Like, who other than the Government is going to tell HSBC to lower their interest rates.  NO ONE.  So, have to wait until tomorrow morning to report to FTC.

Did not answer my cell phone but instead googled the number and found this thread.  Used it as a teaching moment for my daughter who also has a cell phone.  If she ever picked up and was told some of the vulgar and threatening things that other people have reported here, I'd hunt them down and wring their neck with my bare hands.

I wouldn't have done that-they could have spoofed the number, meaning you called an innocent person who had nothing to do with this. Let's hope she's not recording your calls-I wouldn't want some big beefy cops banging on my door wondering what's up! Worse, they could be charging premium rates for the number you're dialing, so if I were you, I would check my phone bill.

Don't play with them-block them. It's free, legal, works great and will keep you out of trouble. See my post on whocallsme for (305)918-2338 for further information.

These people won't give up. So here is what I do. I play with her! I get under her
skin by talking dirty, insulting her job, mother, spouse. At this point everything is fair
game nothing is off the table. You can really rattle her cage. She is calling you you're
not calling her! Blow a whistle into the phone. Yes this sounds immature but instead
of letting the calls get to us. Lets have fun at the callers expense. You can at least
get a little smile out of it.
Not so Minnesota Nice here.

Do what I've been doing... every time these idiots call, I press 1 to talk to somebody, then I tell them I have a ton of credit card debit, but don't have my statements in front of me and ask if they can hold while I go get them. They'll hold for about 1 min or two, so don't let it go beyond that. After I "get back to the phone" I tell them that I really have no debt and I'm going to keep wasting their time so stop calling. It's worked with at least 2 of these types of scams before, plus it's fun to do.

I have received 6 calls from this number.  The first three, I hung up when I heard the automated message playing about "lowering my interest rate on my credit cards".  The 4th, 5th, and 6th times, I pressed one to be transferred to a person.  Each time, I told them, "Remove me from your list, please."  They immediately hung up on me and I continue to get calls.  Today, after I was hung up on YET AGAIN, I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry.  You can call 1-888-382-1222 and go through their automated system to file a complaint or go online to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint that way.  My number IS registered with Do Not Call (I re-registered just to be on safe side), but because I have asked THREE times to be removed from their list and I CONTINUE to get calls (comes up as San Diego on my iPhone), I filed the complaint.  The more people who file complaints, the more likely the chance that something will be done about these people.

It seems that the no call list is a scam. I reported this number a couple of months ago and got a call again today from them. Its time to call or email those official at the do not call Bureau.
You can file a complaint by telephone to 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice
The way it should work is the telemarketer should have to pay at least a dollar for each call that would be credited to the number they call.
