i live in mn and no one says any thing and i have this person block

i received 6 call from this number it's a collection company i do not owe anything to any one that i know of all credit cards are up to date if you keep getting these calls block them i did i called my phone company and asked how to' the phone will ring once and hang up on them if your not sure if you have blocking / call phone company and ask I'm glad i did when i get home i don't have a phone full of numbers and the ones you won a vacation
you have been selected to receive what ever  if everyone did this they might  stop them from  doing this

I have received calls from this number multiple times.  Also, in Austin. TX.  There is always a lot of static and the first time, he said he was from the IRS and wanted me to confirm my last four of my ss#.  Next time same thing, IRS about a 1099. Then they were from a collection agency same number though about a 1099. Still nothing in the mail from anybody.

Identified themselves as a parking ticket collection agency and asked if we wanted to pay for the ticket over the phone.

I received 3 calls from this number, about 30 minutes apart from each other.  When I answered the 1st time, all I got was dead air on the other end, so I just hung up.  I am located in Chicago, so far away from all of you. I didn't realize they have been harassing people until found this blog.

A person keeps calling my house and asking my kids for info about me when I call this number back it comes up can't be completed as dailed.  This is reallt brothering me and I would like to know what to do to stop it.

received phone calls from this number during the day, I pick up the phone and it's either staticky or it just hangs up on me, mostly hanging up.I've done some research on this phone # and nothing shows up for me, but I've seen a ton of reports on it, see www.whocalledus.com there's about 30 people who have received calls and the majority of them have talked to a person(S) who claim to be with the government (IRS) and they are asking for Full correct names & social security numbers. They have also claimed to be a collection Agency, that is calling to collect a debt. I think this is a huge scam and there are large amounts of people receiving calls, I do think someone should look into it. I may go to the police and just show them what I have, I know a few officers and I'm sure they wouldn't mind looking into it for me, and for everybody else.

I'm also in austin texas...i have no clue why this number keeps calling me.but our best bet is not to give them any information, i think they are a big scam. I read about them asking for social security numbers and other personal information on another website.

We just got a call from 619-289-1212 too.  No one was there so I called it back and it was static with a very faint mans voice, then the sound when you've called a disconnected phone number, then silence.  I am in Austin, TX, where are you?

Someone calls from this phone and when I answer, there is static or someone asks for me and then hangs up or gets disconnected.  When I try to call back, I get some kind of weather report from the San Diego area.
