We just got a call and they hung up before I could answer. They must have an outbound WATS line as when I called it back I got a recording something to the effect that, "This is a non working number." The fact that one of the first posts here says that they checked with the Attorney General's office and that their records show that :

"...in several cases that very few of the $$$ raised ever make it to the charity"

That's enough to tell me that the Sanderson Group probably doesn't check out the validity of who they call for... or maybe they just don't care. It's also enough that when I see the number from now on, I won't bother to try to answer the phone.

I just checked another message board as I just received a call and they hung up without leaving a message before I had a chance to answer.  In my case, the caller ID said simply, "San Diego CA" which is meaningless. I did a call back and I get a recording that said, to effect, this is a non working number. I think they set it up as an outbound WATS line that can't be called. My puny investigation shows they are a "Marketing Consulting Group."

Anyway, someone who was able to identify them in the past said,

"The Sanderson Group at 1-619-756-7401 solicits money for charities.  The California Attorney General's office indicates in several cases that very few of the $$$ raised ever make it to the charity."

My husband is in the hospital critically ill. From a dead sleep, my phone rings, and it is this damn Sanderson Group - 619-756-7401 and no one's there when I answer. Any way we can stop these calls???

Real phone number where Gary Sanderson will answer is     (619) 291-2113 . I just spoke with him. They are calling from a phone bank. I requested that my number be removed.

Comes up as Sanderson Group on my caller ID. I answered, a woman asked for my husband, I said he  was not here. I asked who was calling, she said a charity for "the blind" and she would call back. I then called the number back, it's not a working number. Can't even block it. This area code is for San Diego CA.

Sanderson Group is a semi-scam telemarketing and fundraising company.  You can Google it.  There's one in New York City and one in San Diego.  I wrote to a principal in the NY office and she claimed no connection to the San Diego outfit with the identical name and function.  Sanderson is one of many companies that conduct campaigns for legitimate non-profits like local Policeman's Benevolent Associations that can't afford their own campaigns.  The California Attorney General issues an annual list of fundraising agents, showing what percentage of money raised actually goes to the non-profit.  Sanderson Group is among the sleaziest, keeping 85% of all donated money for itself.  It's a similar operation to red-light traffic cameras, where the company that owns the cameras gets almost all the fine money collected from drivers.  So you think you are donating to orphans or the homeless or whatever but you are actually just stuffing the pockets of somebody who might be named Sanderson.  What a country!

I have received several calls from this number. I have spoken with 2 different people. When I do speak with someone they ask for a Margaret. I have told them she does not live here, take my number off your list and don't call back. They have always been nice and said sorry several times and agreed to remove my number. This was the third time I spoke with some one. I began to tell her the same thing i have told the others. She got a major attitude with me and said, " I have never spoken to you bi***" then hung up on me. Someone please stop this group from calling and harassing people.

I received a phone call on a Saturday morning at 9 a.m. from a female soliciting donations for the Shriner's Group.  Call came from the Sanderson Group.  I advised her I was on the other line and attempted to inform her I was on the Do Not Call list, however before I could do so she hung up on me.  Thanks to "Mickey Mouse" above, I was able to call them back at their real number and gave the supervisor a piece of my mind.  She said she would "take care of it."  However, I also filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.

The sketchy Sanderson Group now trying to fool people with a fake caller ID of simply "California." So sick of calls from this outfit. This charade operation should be shut down by authorities now!

Got a call from this number at 8:23pm tonight, let it go to answering machine. No message left. Caller ID says, "The Sanderson Group".

Manta.com indicates that The Sanderson Group is a marketing consulting company.  Are these calls actually coming from them?  If the telephone number on CallerID is the actual number (meaning, it is not being spoofed), Fone Finder USA says they are a Cox Communications subscriber.  [But remember it is EASY for a smart phone to spoof a telephone number to CallerID---there's an app for that.]

The Sanderson Group Web site states their office number is (619) 291-2113 and Gary Sanderson is the owner.  (Perhaps they have several other telephone lines that they use.)

Cox has a business office in San Diego, and their Consumer Affairs telephone number is: (619) 266-5474.

Would you call Gary Sanderson directly?  Would he tell you the truth?  Would you call Cox?  Consider the ease with which CallerID spoofing can occur, it might be wise to tread lightly.

Another annoyance to them is to put their good # in your fax machine and send a "fax" to them.

Calls and hangs up when I say "Hello".  Very annoying.  I don't know why they would hang up??

This number called on 5-11-12 at 6:48 p.m. When I answered no one the phone.
When I called back there is message saying that thi number is not in service.

I got a call from this number.  The caller ID was San Diego CA.  I called the number.  The answering machine says  "the number you have reached is not in service.  This is a recording"   huh? They just called me. They are trying to make it sound like the phone company is making the announcement.  I think they are just faking it with their own answering machine, so they don't get return calls!

I have gotten some calls from this number.  I never pick up and they never leave a message.  The caller ID just says "California".  I guess they are getting sneakier and hiding their name

Just got a call from this number. The caller hesitated before hanging up.  I was able to say "hello" many times, then they hung up. Tried calling back- "Number is not is service"  Really?  Apparently it is, and I don't buy the unprofessional voice on the recording. Someone needs to get this number disconnected.

The Sanderson Group was investigated by California's Attorney General.  They found that less than 10% of their receiving donations helps any group.  Be careful.  Don't give them any donation.  Their phonemarketers work with a commission, and they are very trick oriented.

No, it's "The Sanderson G", at which point it cuts off because of the display limit on Caller ID.  As others have said, this is "The Sanderson Group", which is an organization that solicits for charities.

They call to my phone and then disconnect. I got also a weird phone call today from a company with aun not discolse caller ID, and I told them that I do not answer phoje calls from calls not disclosing their numbers.
I habg up. I am not sure if there are the same people.

These people call on an average of once a week. They never leave a message.  I have no business with them and I want it to stop.

Who wants to join me and my bros. on Moday to pay them a "friendly" visit. Maybe this is what it will take to get their attention!

I received a call from them two times, the same day. CRAZY!! when I answered I said "hi" and they said "bueno" and then I said "what" and then they were like "hi" and then they hung up....Pretty weird!!! And I tried to call back and do the same thing!!! BUT THEY NEVER ANSWERED BACK..........

This number has called our home phone 2 times and hung up on me as I said "hello".The last call was  this past Saturday, October 1,2011 around 10 am. VERY Annoying!
