I haven't gotten a call from 6199558602

Calls all the time.  Doesn't leave messages.

This number has called seven times in the past three days without leaving a message

It's a politcal call, and what makes it worse is, they only want to talk to the "man" of the house regarding local issues. I told the jack*** if he is calling my house and interrupting my evening he is going to have to tell me what this is about. He then told me that all he could tell me is that it has to do with "local issues". Funny, but I have lived here my entire life as to where my husband has only lived here for 10 yrs. Humm..and he wants his views on local issues...interesting...Anyway..I pissed the guy off since I refused to hand the phone to my husband until the jack*** gave me more information so he hung up.

By the way, we too are on the "do not call list", however, The "do not call list" does not apply to Non-profits which all (unfortunately) political, police, fireman, government, etc. polling phone solicitors.

The difference is, the number they are calling is a business number.
What can we do to stop these calls?

North San Diego County (760 area code) I have received several annoying calls in the last several months from 619-955-8602, Caller ID is "Competitive Edge".  The caller does not leave a message on the answering machine and hangs up on me when I say "hello" (I am female). My number is on the do-not-call list also.

When I called the number back it said "Thanks for calling the polling hotline, if you have any questions or concerns please leave a message"  I left a message to take my number off their call list.  Would like to know if anyone has any more information?

I received a couple calls on Sat. and then again last nite at 8:05 and 8:45 from this number too. It is so frustrating to be disturbed with these kinds of calls. I am on the do not call list too - thank goodness for caller ID. I will ask them to take me off their call list too and see if that helps. GRRRR!!!

I get calls from these people too, very annoying. I have asked several times to be taken off their list(s), but so far no luck.

I've worked for this type of company before.  They use a dialer to make the calls and they don't usually leave messages on the answering machine.  If you want them to stop calling just tell them to take you off their list.  Unfortunately, you will only be taken off that one list and you may end up on another list.
Regarding the "man of the house" post above, these type of political surveys have gender quotas and the female quotas will almost always fill up quicker.  So, the interviewer ends up having to ask for the man.

Same as most of the above: lots of calls, no messages.  My wife has been hung up on several times.

Got 2 phone calls from this number today. They did not leave a message, and one call was at 9:44 at night! What makes this worse is that I am on the Do Not Call list.

The President of Competitive Edge is John Nienstedt of San Diego.  This was the fourth call to my home.  His home phone number is listed on Yellow.com - in the White pages.  Extremely annoying!

They have been calling for days and never leave a message. I'm on the do not call list. If each violation is woth $11,000 then they are racking up the bucks. People need to start turning them in to stop the calls.

These jerks should atleast have a time limit; like a noise ordinance for company phone calling

I was called 3 times on Saturday morning while trying to sleep. Didn't answer call, but called the number back and got some recording. After doing a search on the number and finding their website, I looked up their domain information which is listed below. I live in San Diego and might stop by and give them a piece of my mind.

I am on the DNC list. I keep getting calls from this number.  I am upset that they are aloud to call us several time even if we are on the DNC list. The do not leave a message on the answering machine. I am wondering how long it will take for them to stop if I keep ignoring there calls.

Received a call from 619-955-8602 today, but I was out. A friend took the call, but the person hung up when told that I was not available.

Competitive Edge Research & Communication is a research and polling company based out of San Diego.

Bottom Line: No matter if you are signed up on DNC, they're saying research and political calls are exempt. How convenient.

I received a call from 619-955-8602 and the caller hung up. I googled the number and found this website. I called the number, got to competitive edge - the message said that if one has a complaint, please call Chris Harris @ 619-702-2372 X308. I called the number, individual identified himself as Chris Harris, he way away from his desk, leave a message. I looked up Chris Harris on the internet, he is an associate at the Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek law firm (http://www.scmv.com/people/resume.asp?attorneyid=542) in San Diego. His profile on the company website gives a different number. I called; it was the same person - but voicemail rather than desk phone. I can only assume he is the company's lawyer?

Two calls just now that caller ID ID'd as from "Competitive Edge." I didn't pick up. They didn't leave a message. Today is January 8, 2008. They called twice at about 8 pm. I didn't write down the full number, but I did see it was in 619. Searched google for "competitive edge" and was able to narrow it down with the area code, and that's how I found this site. But then, after I wrote the foregoing, I saw the earlier post with the company's web site, and to tell you the truth, though I ALWAYS report telemarketers to donotcall.gov, I do take calls from political poll takers. It's election season after all, and I want to express my support for Paul, Obama, Kucinich, and my disappointment that Chris Dodd was completely ignored. So until I take a call from them and find out they're not okay, I'll take this company's call. Will report again if they're not above board.

Keeps calling, no message

I've been called several times and they don't leave messages. Caller ID says "Competitive Edge".  Since I live in the 619 area code, I went to their website, http://cerc.net, and click on the "Contact Us" link.  I called the number they had posted on their home page and asked to be taken off their list.  I also emailed them so I had it in writing.

Got repeated calls with no one picking up on the other end over a period of 4 days. Found their website and contact info and left voicemail message with a manager asking to be removed from the list. Kept getting calls with no one on the other end. Finally received a call from a human and asked to be removed from their list. No more calls since then.

Called me twice on 11/13 at 6:49 then at 6:57.  I didnt answer and they didnt leave a message.

This degenerate calls and says nothing! I call back, a girl answers and hangs up! Sounds like a disfunctional family to me.

THREE CALLS IN THE SAME DAY NOTHING SAID AND WHEN CALLED BACK NO ONE IS THERE TO ANSWER THE PHONE.
