I received a call & later called the number.  It's a
sales pitch for a Medicare Program

I received a phone call from the same number, but I told them that I already had a Medicare Advantage Plan and that I had recently switched from a different Medicare Advantage Plan because my first plan raised their rates.  Actually, I've been receiving a number of phone calls and even more junk mail because the insurance companies are competing because they think I'm their target market since I will be turning 65 in April.  A lot of folks apparently think these calls are a scam, but I don't necessarily think they are anything more than marketing.  In reality, since I am on the no-call list, they should not be calling me anyway, but if you just tell them that you already have a medicare advantage plan, they should just thank you and go away.  If they ask you which plan and you don't have one, just say whatever company name comes into your head.  The company I switched to is Cigna; the company I switched from was HealthNet.  Hope this helps.

first call was a person wanting to tell me about new medicare benefit changes I told them I wasn't interested, 2nd call was a recording with the same message, third call did not answer and they would not leave a message.  Fourth call they would not leave a message and remained on the line without hanging up for several seconds.  These people are a nuisance and I would like others to know not to answer and to report them.  They will not take "no" for an answer.

I too am retired and actually got a recording saying that they wanted to "maximise my Medicare benefits"

I have received at least 3 calls from 623-252-1660. I'm retired and when I answer there's a long hesitation with noise in background, the when I tell them they have the wrong number they hang up then call back.
