Amazing, I have this warranty company, just left a message for the CEO and I get a telemarketing call from them. Where do they get these crap people at? A&E is the worst repair company ever, broke my ice maker, refusing to fix, can't talk to anyone won't transfer to a supervisor. Never again.

we have First American home warranty and are just as unhappy as everyone up above.  The vendors that they send to my home have been dishonest... installed a pool light when they were supposed to fix a leak.  Said we told them we wanted the light, I told them I had a new light on order so i would not have asked for one from them.  Please remove the light.  I did not get their attention until i had the credit card company reject the payment.  Then they came and got the stinking light. BTW the leak was not covered, but the vendor's quote was below two others i received so went with them.  It was the vendor that first came out to determine the leak was not covered claim. We reported the plumber to BBB.  Now we are trying to get our dishwasher fixed or replaced, this has been an ongoing saga for more than three months. VERY disappointed.  Will not renew contract.  DO NOT PAY FOR THIS HOME WARRANTY.  IF OFFERED WITH A NEW HOME, ASK IF ANOTHER COMPANY IS AVAILABLE INSTEAD.  VERY SHADY.  NOTHING IT SEEMS IS COVERED AND VENDORS ARE NOT GOOD.  One vendor didn't know how to install a tankless water heater so the subcontracted it out.  This again was not a covered event because it turned out the previous water heater was not to code so they would not cover a replacement.  We didn't know any better when trusted teh plumber they sent out.  Later when we had problems with the tankless waterheater the owner of the company said they guys who installed it were subcontracted and that is why it did not have proper sized pipes.  OMG SO MANY THINGS WRONG.

Worst company. Water heater leaking. I had to find a company that would work for their rates and pay them upfront to get reimbursed by First American which took 8 weeks and only after repeated phone calls. Only reason had it was that it was paid for by seller of home. $600 would have been better for me to take care of for $35.

I got a call, no one spoke so I was ready to hang up.  I then heard a guys voice say my first name twice, sounded a lot like a friend of mine.  I asked who it was though, since it wasn't a ph# I knew him to have.  Heard nothing, so I said "if you're going to call me and not say anything, just don't call me".

I looked the # up on this website, then called the #.   It's True Dental and they said I called and left them a message.  I told them I went on their website looking for info, I did NOT leave a message, and for them to remove my # from their call list.

I had a leak and the contractor 1st Am sent cut a whole in the wall, said he couldn't get to the leak and left with the $60 deductible- the leak remained with the addition of a hole in the wall. 1st AM said "oh yeah they do that" and wanted to send the same people again... fixed the whole thing by myself.

I've received calls from this number multiple times at the worst possible times, so I never answered. But I did get a voice mail from them, asking for Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales. What? Who are these people, and why is my number theirs all of a sudden? It confused the hell out of me, and so I finally decided to try calling them back to tell them the number was wrong. Guess what? It left me with a confusing mess of talk about houses and stuff like that. I realized I was doomed to never fix this. Oh well! Thank God theirs a reject option for calls!

Bought a used home with one year free warranty with First American provided by the seller, we picked up the contract and pay $38 a month for the last four years.  Have had AC repair every year that is covered except for a $60 fee, well over $1000 worth of work.  This past March our refrigerator died, we paid $60 for the service call and they determined it wasn't worth fixing, this was a four year old Maytag stainless french door bottom freezer unit, they replaced it with a brand new  Kenmore model made by LG with same the same features, never buy a Maytag again.  AC Finally died last month, after 3 tries to fix it, only paid for the service call once, they have decided to replace it next week.  Totally new system, Carrier, my cost will be about $1700 dollars because there are some parts and procedures they don't cover.
Overall, I've been satisfied with the warranty.

Just got the same call.  From First American Home Warranty.  If you didn't know, home warranties are a scam.  We tried to use it once and they wanted to send us a company that had about 400 1 star reviews on Yelp.  I called back, cancelled the service call they set up and told them to *&^%&$^%$#$%# off.

I'll never do a home warranty again.

My contract with them expired last July, and they call at least once a week to try to renew it. I only used it once when the AC was acting up. The service company sent a tech, put in refrigerant, told me I had a slow leak. Never bothered to actually look for the problem.

Good thing I didn't pay for this, since the service sucks.

This company right now has a 1 out of 4 ratio of denied claims.

The reason the claims were declined were due to incomplete work.
The contractor came to my home, looked at the problem and sometimes he actually did some testing.
He always stated that he had to return to perform further testing because he did not bring the proper tools.
First American required me to pay him my co-payment on his first visit.

He never returned, instead the company closed the ticket claiming that a 'technicality' made the whole claim invalid.

I would not recommend this company as their ticket processing is fraught with fraud.

If you do deal with them and the technician says he needs to come back, get that in writing from him that he will indeed come back.

I get them calling all the time. Finally put them in the address book so that I would know it was them and could ignore it. I have limited minutes. Will be reporting them to the registry since I already told them not to call again. I never paid for the warranty, but my seller did. Crappy warranty--lousy contractors.

This is the WORST home warranty company ever. The previous statements about them putting bandaids on major home repairs is true. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about their terrible service and lies to customers. Do not ever use this company.

Annoying little people need to stop calling my cell phone on the no call list alot of good that is. So sounds to me like a scam running out of arizona.

Yes they are a crap company.  My central air went out in the middle of 100+ degree summer.  First contractor they referred me to said I needed a $400 cleaning before I could resolve the problem which was a relay they had to order.  1st Am conveniently doesn't cover that so the claim was denied.  The rep I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude.  I found out that that particular contractor was a father/son team that worked out of their house and they told EVERY client the same thing.  I had to pay the $400 for the cleaning to get the air fixed.  That contractor left a device on the unit that drained all the freon out so I had to call a second time (and a second $50 co-pay).  The new contractor showed me that the coils needed to be replaced and told me that 1st AM would not cover it.  It's their policy to put bandaids on everything and not truly repair anything.  I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE.  Funny I never heard from their agent until a month before the contract was up.  Now he won't stop calling.

We had the same problem with this warranty company. Their service is terrible. The service providers they use are bottom of the barrel at best. Very disappointing. I'm glad we didn't pay for this in the first place and I would never spend my own money on it!!
