Just received text saying my SMIone account has been locked.
Must be scam as I have no account with them.

I received a text from 704 666-8070 for they said a frozen account. I don't even have a smiONE card. It's a scam

I have gotten two of these, and had a good feeling it was a scam right way and ignored the first one.

I called it on my land line and it a computer voice asking for info and I hung up.
Seems like if they are using real valid phone numbers to have to you call someone could track these people down pretty easily.

There needs to be someone that is actively working to stop people like this here, smiONE maybe you can help with this since your name is on the line? I do not have the time or effort to spend on this, but it should be someone job to find these guys.

I got a text message saying smi ONE Card issue call 9545811777 when i called they wanted last 4 SSN I feel its a SCAM

Just received the same smiOne  Text Message. Do Not answer or give ANY INFORMATION as this is a SCAM. If you are having problems your personal bank will contact you directly and not with a text message. Should you receive a call stating that they are with your bank ask for the person's name,  title,  bank location with their telephone number and HANG UP.  Call the bank that you are doing business with and report the text message that you received. Better yet go to your banl and talk with the bank manager.

i called thinkin it was connected to my rush card smione sounded familar but when it asked for my card info i hung up n called the actual # on my card, my accts fine.

I just got my second message the 1st one came on 04/11/13 and from 402740@vtext.com from the number 626-204-6199 and the one today 04/30/13 came in as 287465@vtext.com with a phone number of 706-279-33289.  I hit call from my cell and it was telling me to reactivate my debit card.  I did not and hung up.

I have received many text all from @vtext.com all with different phone numbers to call which are never in working order and all containing the message saying your card is frozen ( do not have this card). Contacted Verizon Wireless and they didn't have much of an explanation or any solution to the problem, so if anybody knows how to fix this please post. I get at least one or more a day.

You have a cell phone.
The cell phone company's are allotted blocks of numbers to give out to their customers, when they get a new phone and number.
These blocks are easy to figure out, lets say all T-Mobile numbers are in the xxx-123-xxxx range. A scammer can set up a computer, online to the internet, with software to send a web-2-text message to all numbers withing the xxx-123-xxxx block. First it send a message to xxx-123-0000, then to xxx-123-0001, then xxx-123-0002 and so on. The system can spam out message by the millions in a few hours. If they open the block to cover more possible number and leave the thing running 24/7, they can spam every possible number.
So that is how they "got your number".... they didn't, your number just happened to be in the block of number they blindly spammed.

Contact your cell carrier and report the number as a nuisance number and request it be blocked. Inquire if they offer a service to black list numbers so they can not call or message you at all, Verizon lets you block up to 5 for free.
Also inquire if you can forward the text to 7726 aka SPAM:

If you have a smart phone, there are many anti-spam apps. Check your phone's app store.

Got it yesterday afternoon and thought it was strange. I don't own any prepaid cards, I don't receive child support and I am not a Verizon customer but rather t-mobile lol... Don't know how they got my number.

Received two phone messages earlier today about saving $130 on my Verizon Wireless Bill.
Received a txt message from 336213@vtext.com says ([smiONE])Call: 8135087915 Immediately.
478655xxxxxxxxAcctIssue.

I called 813 number from office landline and got info that my credit card has suspcious activity and had
been suspended, call to confirm.  

Replied back to txt msg that they should stop SCAMMING, I had reported them to Verizon Wireless and
got an undeliverable message back.

Received a txt message "Call(626)204-6199.smiONE Card:4786.55xxxx Limited.

got smiONE TEXT 6262046199. DELETED. SEEMED LIKE AN IDIOT TO ME.

scam!!!!! just trying to get info.

I have received several of these text messages saying they are from Omni-American Bank and for me to call this number 626-204-6199.  It is strange timing though because my actual debit card from another bank had fraud charges on it last week that were caught by my bank, but they called me and sent me an email and it is a very well known bank so it obviously was not a scam.  It is just strange to me that now this week I am getting strange text messages about fraud.  Wondering if it could be the same person doing this?

I received same exact text on 2 different phones. I did not call the number, but replied to the text and it was returned.

My husband and I both got those msgs.  They are not from the bank.  I have gotten a lot of bothersome phone calls/text msgs since using verizon.  I am wondering if they sell my info... not pleased at this point.

spam verizon forward to 7726 to report as a scam

recieved 2 myself forward all  text to 7726/spam all will report to security just DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO

forward all sms text scams to 7726 you will recieve a message on what to do and report at same time

I just got two of these text messages. One from this number, and one from another just a couple minutes ago. Weird.
