I received a call from them about an hour ago.  She asked for me by name and stated that she understood I had been diagnosed by my doctor as having diabetes.  (Not true.)  I said that was not true and she immediately hung up.  "Platinum Services" is what caller ID says, and they're now on my blocked call list.

then asked if i suffered from back pain. (i dont)

Just start with caller ID.  If you don't recognize the number or caller, ignore it.  They will stop eventually calling you.  Just get a grip,. all your friends and family will leave a message if you have an answering service.  You can always pick it up while listening if it is someone you recognize and answer, They understand.  

Responding to these calls is the worst you can do.  Putting these annoying calls on a scam list, or reporting them, or calling them back is counterproductive and will not solve the current problem..  Ignoring will eventually stop them, or at least get them out of your system.  But then there are always new ones, unless the government steps in and makes this type of calling a crime.

My caller id says Platinum SVCS on this number. Dont know who it is or why they call but i'm sick and tired of getting these calls!

I keep getting calls from this number. The one time I answer no on said anything. call the numbr back said it was diconnect.

Received a call about an hour or so ago on my cell phone. Lady had a very thick accent. I finally got that she was calling from orthopedic america and asked if I was having back pain. I told her we were on the DNC list and kindly remove our number. She said she was not selling. She again started her speil...I told her I had to go I was busy...she said she would call back. I told her someone could advise me the reason for the call....but have someone call that I could understand.

My caller id says it is from platinum SVC.  They call me every other day

I think this number is an automatic dialer that is only occasionally monitored by the scam artists.  The frequent "non-answers" are probably during non-monitored periods.  The group of scam artists appear to be using various methods to steal personal information.  The fact that the number is disconnected or otherwise non-functional is probably due to an electronic device that disguises the real source of the call.  This is just speculation, but at any rate the general public doesn't have the resources to garner any incriminating information.  Giving the number to the authorities is our only recourse and I doubt they can do anything about it.

Called and I kept saying hello and hung up.

They call asking for Mrs. Dodson, when I tell them wrong number they start trying to sell me medical supplies. The woman with the thick accent then hangs up on me when I tell her to remove my number that I'll never buy from a telemarketer that calls me. When I try the number to call back it magically doesn't work. And they wonder why we hate them and don't trust them.

Put your number on the DO NOT CALL list.  then if they call back again report them!!!

Strong accent, very odd name, which I can not even spell.  Said he was calling about my yellow pages ad and wanted to finish up the listing.  I told that my ad was already completed and his response was that it was "just a basic listing" and I told him that is all I needed and didn't want to pay for a listing.  He hung up immediately.  I tried to call the telephone number back and it states that it is no longer in service.  Do not fall for this as he may be trying to obtain a credit card number for a false listing.  BEWARE!!!!!

called my cell # (on national and pennsylvania DNC lists).  I answered, no one replied, and the line dropped after a few seconds.

someone called from this number this morning and said something about medical supplies - he did address me by my last name so had found that out somehow - anyway I told him we were on the "do not call list" and not to bother us again - enough already with these people - why don't they spend their time looking for a real and honest job?

I have received the same thing over the last two days.  Multiple calls from this number.  Noone there.  When I call back says this number is not in service.

I have received several calls from different numbers. The one above is one of them, nobody talks when I answer and when I call the number back, the recording says that it is not in service. What the heck and how can I stop this.

Called a few times, female (white?) voice, just says "hello, hello" and then when I say hello she hangs up. On call back the phone is "out of service".Someone please get these guys!

Received several calls over a couple of days. Would never say more than "hello, hello". It was a possibly white, female voice. They are full of crap, they should be reported to the proper agency, whatever agency that is!

got a call from this number...they said nothing for 2-3 minutes and then indicated they were selling, collecting for some cause or another. calls come at odd hours and caller refuses to remove me from their calling list despite repeated efforts to have them do so.
