Call the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 to file a complaint. I just did and am considering filing a lawsuit for harassment and fraud.

trying to sell something and hang up when asked to be removed from their list

Same story as above.
Started as soon as we got Verizon service less than a month ago.

Been getting calls from this number all the fricken time. They dont give up. I called them back and it's an automated message and they ask if I want to be removed and I press 1. Then the next day, different number but same automated message. They have been calling non-stop from (562) 289-8179, (860) 899-2711 and (517) 931-2039. My number is on the donotcall.gov registry but they still call. I filed a complaint as of today but is there much point? Where do these bast*rds get our numbers from? Cell phone companies selling them perhaps?

I just got Uverse. Received this 1st call on 12/15/09 at 6:29pm EST from 626-207-9102 - shows up as Too Much Debt.  Didn't answer b/c I don't answer calls that I don't know the number or show up as unknown caller.  It sounds telemarketing ish. I sure hope they don't continue to call.

The time now is 1:12pm. I expect to recieve another call today at some point. I no longer pick up when the number appears. Quit calling me

Get calls from these people at least times a day.  Why can't something be done about it?

I called and complained to the FTC.  Hopefully it does some good.

They called me again today for the umpteenth time and when they did I spoke with someone.  She asked me to verify my number, I told her to since she is the one who called.  She didn't.  I told her to remove me immediately and she said "press 2 press 2".  She said I needed to shut up and listen to her.  I have U-Verse as well and I think they are the ones who sold my number.  I will be calling them today.

as above, this # kept calling even when I didn't answer and even when I pushed 1 to get off the calling list. That didn't work either! They have called many times many days. I am reporting it to the 877 382 4357.

This number has been calling us multiple times a day for several weeks.  When answered it says to press one to speak with a representative and press two to be removed from their call list.  It hasn't worked.  It's very annoying!

These people wouldn't quit calling me either, and when I asked to be removed from the call list they would hang up. I finally called back and it said if I would like to be removed from the call list to press 1 or 2 (I don't remember). Hopefully that will stop it.

I've also been getting these annoying calls 24/7. If I don't know who it is I don't answer it but they keep changing the numbers they call from. I also have an unlisted/private cell number and don't know how they managed to get it.

These people began calling several days ago which is amazing as my phone number is new.   The recording says press 1 for sales and I ask multiple times to be removed and they call again later in the day.  I added their number to my screened list (U-verse) and  they began calling with no caller ID.  

I don't understand why some government agency can't fine the hell out of violators like this.  They need the money and  we need privacy.

Receiving several calls over multiple consecutive days; they will not remove you from their call lists whether you press the 2 option on their automated message or talk to a live representative.

Get calls from this number 626-207-9102 comes up as a cell phone from California, it's an automated message to get rid of your debt. The first time this happened the call was from Tennessee, so I answered and pressed 2 to get off the calling list and then CA started calling. I though cell phone numbers were supposed to be more private than land lines.

I got a call from this number.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize and no message was left

I keep getting calls from this number several times a day, and I don't live in California, nor do I have a California number.

(update) I spoke with Fred and told him of the things that have been happening. He said he would get ahold of the company and tell them to stop calling us.

He said most likely this is a company from India etc.. and that the laws dont apply to them.

I also informed him that if this didnt stop I would be filling a class action law suit and naming him in that suit.

this is not a debt collection company, I have the feeling they are running one of the old scams of soliciting certain verbal responses from you, to record, and switch long distance carriers on you, or a variation of it.

If you press 1, you get transfered to a person. Then they ask if you "want info on debt relief" if you answer anything other than yes, they hang up on you.

One time I said yes to see if they would connect me to the company rep they were calling for, that way I could find out the name of their calling service, as every time in the past when I asked for who they are, they hung up on me. Then they asked a series of other questions. And when it came to the point they were supposed to get me to someone to talk to, they hung up on me. I contacted my phone company immediately, told them what happened, they noted it on account and made sure no charges or changes would be made to my account.

So I have filled 2 reports so far about them with the FCC.

I have started recording phone calls from them, havent received on recently. But I always inform them that I am recording this phone call and that they have been requested multiple times to stop calling me and that I have and will continue to file complaints with the FCC.

Actually had one of their reps say

"Well, I want to give a shout out to my homies. And the FCC has nothing to do with us, you need to know what your talking about fool." as well as a couple of other things that I am not going to post here, but then of course he hung up.

Who knows if I can figure out what company is doing this, and they are viable enough to sue, I will start a class action suit and make sure to post up info about it here so the rest of you can join in. :)

The recorded messages I receive usually say '..clear your credit.  With no upfront cost, we will raise your credit score & get you out of debt...' blah..blah...blah.  I've complained to the Attorney General, but the AG's office can't do anything until I provide a company name and address... Can anyone help me find one? Thank you.

I just got off the phone with Mr Accuardi and he is seeing personally that our phone number is being removed from the calling list.  He also informed us that if you have recently signed up for anything like facebook, tweeter (any site like that) or signed up for a new email if you DON'T read the fine print in their agreement that you are agreeing to let them sell your phone number.  Also that if you have just gotten a new phone number (Like myself my phone number is not even 1 month old yet) that your phone company has already sold that number to companies that sell services.  If you would like to have this handled and taken care of i recommend that you file the complaints with the FCC @ fcc.gov and the FTC @ ftc.gov.  The more complaints that they receive the more will be able to stop.  You can also call Mr. Accuardi he is a very pleasurable and knowledgeable person.

Calls come at least 6 times a day. Press 1 to speak to an operator, ask to be removed, am hung up on (usually before I can finish the sentence). Have filed donotcall.gov complaint and emailed the Governator.

I also called and spoke to Dave (nice guy to deal with) at this number (the caller id company they use) 503-226-4444, I gave him my phone number and he stated they should not call after 24 hours. I would call both places that i listed above to cover all aspects and notifiy as many folks who can get rid of this company.

don't call the 626 number call the 1-800 i provided.I didn twant to confuse folks..

Ok heres the scoop everyone needs to call the phone company who supplies this number 626-207-9102. File a complaint with them. I just did and they gave me a complaint number.they stated if i still received call from that number after 48hr's to call back. Here's the info below.
