I receive repeated calls to lower an interest rate, there is an option to proceed with the call, but no option to refuse the call.  Not interested, stop calling.  DUH

If enough people complain, maybe the FTC will get off their duffs and do something about it. I once received more than $300 as part of a class action suit against a similar company a few years ago, so complaining can have its rewards!

The problem is, he's NOT in Covina, CA.  They're using numbers that aren't legit.  My son found a free app for his iPod that let him make calls from a number in Illinois (we're in RI).  If a free app can spoof a number, can you imagine what these idiot telemarketers can do with heavy-duty software?  Also, if you answer the call, even to yell at them or say you're on the DNC list, they know it's an active number and sell it to other companies so they can call you, too.  I don't know why, but we've been getting a lot more calls over the past few months.

If you don't recognize the number and you let the answering machine pick up the call they won't leave a message so then it's not so annoying. So they lose cause they don't never get threw !

What is the point of the do not call registry?  I continue to get telephone calls from people who are out of state and with whom I have done no business!  Why can't they make this stop?

I consider these calls as Prank Calls!

I have received several calls from this number saying that I can lower my credit card interest rate.  I have warned them that my phone number is on the do not call list but they keep calling.  Incidentally I do not carry a balance on my credit cards but the calls are a distraction.

Got call with recorded message about debt reduction.  Instructions were to press 1.  A live person asked if I was interested in debt reduction and hung up.  Can not call back.  

Report these calls to FTC.  When the volume of complaints grow, they investigate.

Please file a complaint with the FCC for each and every call you get.  You can go online to FCC.gov an look for FILE A COMPLAINT - especially if they are calling your cell phone.  It is the only way to stop them.  The more complaints the FCC gets the more pressure they have to find these creeps.  You can fill the form out on line and submit. The more we all do this, the quicker these scammers get discovered.  When they call my work number, I have even waited until they ask for someone, and then I tell them I am transferring the call and connect them right to the FCC at 888-225-5322!!  Please use all of the resources you have to stop these people from trying to get our information.!

I'm in AZ too. AZ just gets targeted a lot because of it's elderly population. It's disgusting.

1219HR 18APR2012 got called from 626-209-5661 to my landline phone that I pay an extra charge to keep un-published & unlisted. Caller ID: WIRELESS CALLER. No message on answering machine. All my phones are registered on the FTC "Do-Not-Call" list. All calls in this household go directly to the answering machine; family, friends, boss at work. I chose who to call back from only those individuals who leave a proper message on my answering machine with complete caller ID.

excellent  advise !    WAY  to many  people  are  dumb  and  stupid  and  call back  these  numbers.............ONLY  to  make the situation  worse !!!

Got a call from this number but no message.  Yesterday I got a call from 503-902-8479 and the message described above was left on my answering machine.  I have a Panasonic cordless phone system and can block up to 30 numbers.  About every three months, the blocked call list is full and I have to erase the numbers and start all over.  Gee, I guess 10 nuisance numbers a month isn't so bad.  NOT!

A most aggravating group of folks.  They seem to get their numbers and program to make these calls from a company out of Orlando, FL.  You can't get off their list as it is sold to many different people.

As well as Bill, LOL!  I think this person is trying to make a point!

This company calls me quite often and I am tired of it. It seems they change telephone numbers so I don't recognize it on caller ID. I want it to stop!

Thanks for the information everybody. I have been receiving calls from the number. I don't ever talk to anyone from Cal., Arizona, Florida or NY. These states seem to coddle crooks.
