Robocalls like that are already illegal.  Do you think that legislating your religion on them (which, by the way is unconstitutional) would make them worry about breaking ANOTHER law?

4/23 15:49 PDT  5th unidentified caller today.  This is such a pain.  Only rang once, so NOMOROBO seems to be working as well as ever.  Unfortunate not available to all.

From the posts above, it looks like Paradise Buildiers is at it again.  When I answered, I asked for address information and was hung up on.  The caller did not mention the name of the company.

Called again!  Picked up and asked to be removed.   Guy assured me he would...but, I doubt it.

I see they called again today.   ....And Nomorobo let them through.  Arrrrrgh.  Reblocked and reported to Nomorobo.

As usual when they call, I called Paradise Builder's 800 number using an untraceable phone and made an appointment for a roof repair estimate  for some random person in my phone book.  I hope they enjoy the drive across LA at 5 PM lol.

I received a call from this number today at 10:46AM, CNAM said "out of area".  This appears to be a spoofed number.

A very strange thing happened when my answering machine kicked in: a robotic female voice said repeatedly "testing", "testing" ... for about a minute, then it switched to a loud busy tone for almost another two minutes before I disconnected the call.  I believe this was an attempt to fill-up the memory in my answering machine because I didn't answer their call (and never would).  

These scum have stepped to a new low in tele-scamming!

ALL calls from this number or Paradise Builders are for fraudulent purposes.

Fiona, more than likely (unwittingly) from the Do Not Call Registry itself--and not selling, but GIVING it out.

From what I understand, the Registry has to monthly give telemarketers a list of the numbers they can't call (presuming they're always dealing with HONEST telemarketers).  But that's all the scum scammers need to know to learn so many more things about you--and then likely sell it to others.

I also read last night that some of your info can also be gleaned from credit bureaus; I personally question that, but it's worth looking into.

Persistent Pests, aren't they?  Like you, I was also getting calls from that number--12 times in one month (yes, I kept record).  Blocking it kept them from calling earlier this month, but now, using another number, they're at it again??  WHEN will these people learn that WE DON'T WANT TO TALK WITH THEM??

4/14 10:52 PDT Still trying, though never get an answer from me.  Unhappily, right now, my call blocker doesn't seem to be working, but that won't keep me from not answering unrecognized or unidentified callers.  This one never leaves a message, just hangs up before voicemail kicks in.

Spoke with gal who said she left a card at my door and wanted to know if she, her father or brother could do any interior or exterior work to home.  I said not now.  Also said she had called me before and she said this is the first time I have called and hung up.

That appears to be French for Out of Area. Though I must say, it is the first time I have seen it displayed like that.

this guy was so rude. just filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. he flatly refused to remove me from their list. incredibly rude and unprofessional. don't answer this number if they call.

A new scam number for Paradise .Prior scam number was 310-730-8110. The crooks continue to try to  cheat people out of their money. I keep a list of the telemarketer calls I received  and Paradise has called me over 6 times

Call was from Pasadena, Ca?.left no message.  Will put on my call block list.

Only with enough complaints the goverment agency will step in to take actions against these scammers.

Oh it's Paradise builders?  They used to call several times a week on another number.  All calls were blocked, of course.  I used to call them on my daughter's "burner" cell phone that she uses when she is in the US.  I'd mess with them by going off on whomever answered the phone or make appointments at the worst time of day (man do we have traffic)  for random people in the phone book.  I must have made 20 appointments LOL.

Now that I know they're calling again, maybe it's time to get the phonebook out and start making appointments again :).
