| Vision Financial Collections Agency 2012-10-16 14:31:39 Debt Collector |
Received call on my cell phone, asked for me by name, asked about an old address, asked about old address to "confirm my identity", caller would not identify themselves, kept asking about my old address and wanted to know more information about me ...
They are a secondary collection agency ... Vision Financial ... www.visionfinancialcorp.com
6774 Troy Drive Rockford, IL 61107
(815) 713-2900 - This is their main number for their business (Receptionist)
(866) 950-6550 - This is their collections call in number for people who actually pay them
(630) 318-4659 - This is the number that I received a call from
I can assume they buy old debt and do "fishing expeditions" to try to get people who don't know better to pay them ... most likely debt is unreportable and/or uncollectable

I just received a call from this number and it appeared to be someone in the background clapping , when I said hello the second time, they just hung up. Do anyone know who these people are or what do they want?

the caller is looking for someone who no longer lives here. they do not say what they want. this is apparently a misuse of PII and may be in violation of US Code Collection Title 18 Part 1 Chapter 47 Section 1028.

Purported to be a telephone operator with an important call. Asked for my wife. Asked if I was her husband and I replied yes. Then said she'd transfer the call and to please wait and identified the caller as ARS.
ARS is a collection company in Washington state. This call may be a violation of the Fair Credit Collection Act as it is misleading in the extreme.
ARS normally calls from (425)336-4795.

I told them I do not accept calls from numbers I do not know. They kept asking for me, I kept telling them I again would not verify who they were as it came up as unknown number. I do not talk to strangers. The caller stats says it is from Pacific Telecom. This is an Illinois number. So google says. A small town called Prairie something. Off State Route 30. Whoever the original collector is they sub contract to have collectors call from cell phones as well as other phones so the person will who owes the money will pick up the phone. I have reported it to the FTC as well as the BBB for illegal collections from a cell phone. That is one thing they cannot do is use a wireless phone with God knows whom trying to get your CCN. I would suggest reporting them for illegal collections. They could scam your info and clean out a persons account. Please report them. One can pay the original bill they owe to the original person they owe the money to. Most companies are going to charge off. The collection company if that is what they are, is going to take your money and then you are still going to owe the original collector.
