Called twice and did not leave a voicemail either time

Getting repeated calls from this number - though I'm on the Do-Not-Call-Registry. No messages, just repeated calls - I won't answer.

I got a call on my cell phone from this number this morning. The caller had a high-pitched voice and was very difficult to understand. At first I thought she was a little kid. She had to spell out the name of the company before I understood that she was calling from DirectBuy. She said the reason for the call was that my number was a finalist in their $25,000 home renovation sweepstakes. I asked what the catch was. She said something about a 90-minute presentation. That's not a sweepstakes; that's a sales pitch. I told her I wasn't interested and to remove my number from their list. Not sure how they got my cell number, as I never put it on any kind of marketing forms.

Unsolicited call, no message.

I picked up, it was a lady and said she was from Direct Buy. Apparently if your number was selected, you are offered a promotional trip for 2 or 3 days. I asked how the number was submitted, could not directly state how. I played along for a while. Operator stated that the trip offers me to bring my significant other and asked if I was single, married, or had a special someone. They also asked if i was between the ages of 18 to 25. I then told them i was not interested and the operator was offended and hung up.

This number called me repeatedly on my personal cell phone and left no message. I called back to see if it was someone I knew (I live in the area from which the number originates), but a recorded message stated that it was a "non-working number." Funny, because it sure seemed to be working when it called me.

I guess they don't want unsolicited calls from strangers....oh wait- neither do I.

A woman called from Direct Buy.  I asked how she got my number and she said it could be from a number of different places, online forms, or sign-ups, etc.  Except I don't put my number on any of this stuff so that's a load of BS.  Told her to not call again and take me off the list.  She seemed offended that I would request this.

Was trying to do some promo work, but not really sure what, as I cut her off to get off the calling list.

I don't answer if I do not recognize the phone number. But this number has been repeatedly been calling my both my home phone and cell phone. I do not like these robo calls that will continue to call you repeatedly and can not seem to get them to stop. I have filed police and FCC complaints in the past against such repeated callers only to be told that it is their 1st amendment right. However, if I as a individual do this to someone it would be called harassment and I could go to jail. Strange justice system we have here. I suppose these advertisers get this information from either schools/colleges that produce student directories every couple of years and/or the various job boards where one places ones resume. This invasion of privacy need to be controlled better than just the "do not call list" which advertisers seem to ignore anyway with impunity.

Called on my work cell twice this week and I told them stop calling me, I'm at work and to take me off the list. They were so rude. The company is Direct Buy and when I looked it up it was furniture place.

Got this number calling me for the first time today, didn't answer, but no voicemail was left. Called the number back and it said the "number you dialed is not a working number".

Called my personal cell, no message.  Annoying.

Called on my work cell did not leave a message.

Tried calling them back, got a 'not valid number'. Assumption is that whomever is doing this is spoofing a local number.
