called my cell; saw the number which i don't recognize. didn't pickup, and they didn't leave a message, so i guess not important...!  ha

I have gotten two calls from this number today.  Both were hang up calls.  I Really hate it when people are silent or just hang up when I answer!  Makes me wonder if someone is checking to see if someone is at home.

I just recvd a call from this phone # asking for police officer donations when I asked what exactly the dontation is for he could not explain and sd he will put me down for $20 cause he is aware of the hard times in the economy today. Well I hung up, 2 seconds later he calls me from 331-462-2719 i asked him to please stop calling he then said okay I will put you down for a $15 dontation I said no money for donations and h/u again. Well he called back again from phone# 779-456-7406 (cellular call) and insisted I donate $10. This is rediculous. all the phn#'s I listed are what I believe to be CRICKET cell phones as I know they are giving out there phn#'s with 331 area codes. I believe this is a scam!! watch out for this guy!!

This is actualy a legitament law enforcement organization that is attempting to collect donations for its programs. If you would take the time to listen and do your research you would find this out!

The Bloomington Pantagraph newspaper reports a scam in today's paper -- someone calling to request money for a nonexistent police fund.  They called my home too -- almost 9pm when the phone rang.  No one would speak when I answered.  Phone search shows the number is an unpublished one (land line) located in Lombard, IL.

I also received a call and they hung up.  If you call the number back and hit # at the message you can leave a message.  Not that it matters, they don't care if they are bothering us but if it makes you feel better to leave a message, this is how you can do it.

If you've received a call from these phonies call the Oak Brook Police Department @ 630-847-8779 and tell them you have received a call from someone in their town impersonating a law enforcement agency which is a felony in Illinois

Got a call from this number while I was out.  Not surprised to hear it's from some bogus police org since they love to beg for money every summer.  Will be filing a complaint through the AG office to get this to stop.

this number called at 12:45pm and hung up on me as soon as i answered.  The number shows up on caller ID, but just says Unknown Caller.  I can't stand annoying calls like this.  I tried to call the number back using my cell phone and I got a recording that I could leave a message after the tone, but immediately after stating this it said their message mailbox was full and could not receive more messages.

Complain on-line with Lisa Madigan's office.  I've had this happen before with another company and her office ceased all calls from this company to my home number.

Have received multiple hangup calls from this number.  When I attempted to activate a return call via *69, got a message that this number has activated call screening and is not accepting incoming calls at this time.

Had problem about a year ago, left message on answering machine, and then did not hang up. Recorded profanity and men talking in background.  Called and complained then, STILL getting calls.

Asking for donations.....where do I report this to have them stopped?
Don't want older people to be scammed.

They have called before and I say no and just hang up before they

caller thanked me for my past donation to police something or other and wanted to know if they could count on me again this year for a pledge---
I told them to send me information in the mail and he wanted to know if I still lived at ( my correct address )--I confirmed & he said I would get a form.
This call came on Sunday evening,5/17 at 7:42PM.
I do not live in the same county as Oak Brook but same state.
When I call back I get a message "can not getb your call but leave your # and we will get back "---sounds phony to me!

He was SUPER rude to me as well.  He was seeking donations "for law enforcement" and would not explain what that meant.  He told me he would send me some info but that for now he would put me down for only ten dollars.  He does not seem legitimate at all.  He got mad at me and hung up on me when I said I was not donating anything until I knew more information.

Everytime I try to call it back, I get an automated recording that says "it's unavailable at this time - leave your message at the tone"  Have to assume it's unimportant.

Called us at home over the lunch hour, but hung up when I answered.
