This number calls 2-3 times a day.  Same as all other caller state, rings and hangs up almost immediately after I answer.

Called on 07/29/2013 @ 10:55 AM from Shoreham, NY. No message left. Previously showed Rocky Point, which is in the same area as Shoreham. Google scammer.

just called -- Rocky Point CID, press 1 because your business has been selected to receive free advertising in our latest local press release... SCAM .. I'm a business on LI and I have been found on Google...... thank you....

Called on 07/18/2013 @ 11:51 AM from Shoreham, NY. Caller ID shows Rocky Point which is the same area.  No message left. They called me on 7-1-13. I *67'ed the #. It's a scam about moving you up the Google listing. I will block them now.

Called on 07/10/2013 @ 01:21 PM from Shoreham, NY. Caller ID shows Rocky Point, which is on Long Island, NY.  No message was left. I have gotten many scam calls in the past from Rocky Point. There must be a telemarketer located there.
I *67'ed the #. It's some scam business wanting to update my business listing. This wasn't the typical Google listing scam, but close enough.

my cell rang twice; did not know this number. call ended before I could answer

My cell phone rang and hung up before I answered it. I called the number on my work phone and got the automated message:
"Welcome to [some rebate center, I don't remember the actual name]. We called you because you visited one of our affiliated websites."
Sounds underhanded to me. The message continued with an offer for a gift card of some sort. "Press one to speak with a representative [to help you receive the offer] or press 2 to be put on the Do Not Call list"
I pressed 1 and hung up when the person started to speak. I think I'll call a few more times just so I can keep hanging up on them.

this number just called me, but i never heard it ring, it immediately just appeared as a missed call.  weird because this is same area code as where i live, so i thought someone was trying to reach me.  glad i didnt call back!

Got a call on my cell. Didn't hear it ring so I didn't pick it up. No voice mail

I got the call and called them back.  They said it was called the VIP SAVINGS PROGRAM  They offered me a $50 gas card and a VIP card that's supposedly accepted at all major retailers and you can save up to $2,000 per year (if you spend a lot of money at said stores, I'm sure).  All they asked was for $2.79 for shipping and handling.

HOWEVER, I asked for the business name and website.  They said the website is under construction.  OK, I said, "but I'll pay with Paypal or Google Checkout or any other reputable online merchant service", but they said they only take credit or debit cards, and I'm definitely not giving my details out over the phone to a company without even a web presence.

It could be real, but I'm not risking giving out my CC number to a company without even a web presence.  If anyone goes through with this (I'd recommend using a pre-paid credit card just in case it is a scam) and it works, reply and I'll gladly do it.  It's not some ridiculous offer like a $10,000 pre approved loan with no interest for a year, but still, without the web presence and lack of ways to accept payment over The Internet, I'm too skeptical

they are called reward redemption. they get our number from undisclosed site we visit. just more scam infecting our country and people

Same - got the call but immediate hang up.  This call came in shortly after I began receiving spam telemarketing text messages.  Looks like someone who has our phone numbers (likely a retail chain or website) has sold them to telemarket spammer lists.  I don't even live in NY anymore, so something tells me I will be changing my number to avoid this from now on.

Said number called my cell phone...left no message...do NOT recognize it...have tele-markerts blocked but they seem to get thru anyway.

have gotten several calls from this number over the last few days. it seems like it hangs up almost before I can answer it because i just end up getting missed calls. Called back today and it's a recording about a reward center rebate coupon. Blocking the number.
