I received a call from this number in October 2013.
When we finally spoke, it was a follow-up from my response to be on the list of NZ's 'Who's who'.
Most people get such an invitation, and it was said to be 'a totally free service,' so I said yes.
The people who called - surprisingly from the USA - call themselves "aftersales - the premier global provider of Personal Branding products and services."
She said the Who's who was a global service and that she would need to interview me for 20 minutes. When I queried her whether such an interview was for the free listing I'd accepted, she advised that they have both free and paid-for services and clearly she was going to proceed with retrieving the paid-for listing details.
The person was perfectly polite and I believe it not to be a scam as such. It seems bona fide however my personal opinion is the approach they use - interview you for 20 minutes presumably (I pre-empted this by asking the question) without advising you'd need to pay for it, is dicy.
