Call was from Senior Dept.  Said they were taking a survey.  They had my name from somewhere.  I am on the no call list and I update it regularly.  They said they weren't selling anything, mentioned the Healthcare reform and wanted to know if I had life insurance.  I just answered yes to everything regardless if it was right or wrong so they would quit calling me.  These kind never stop calling!

You messed up when you gave them some information.  Now, they think you are weak & all they have to do is keep calling to wear you down.  It sounds VERY suspicious like a scam group who is out trying to steal money
from Seniors for alleged Medicare insurance , etc. . Too bad it is impossible to find a law enforcement official who will help you.  They are all too busy giving traffic tickets to decent citizens or out putting on a dog & pony show about the "war on "drugs" that has gone less well than our wars in Iraq!

The way it was explained to me the "No Call" list is only used be a state "IF" they want to take someone to court and "IF" they want to use the list. So far there have been very few court cases.

I just wanted to add that I've reported these people to the FCC, and it only took a few minutes to fill out the for online.  And if anyone wants the link for the National No Call Registry, it's

This is ridiculous.  They just called AGAIN (5/11/11, 11:13 a.m.), and I told the woman that I'm on THEIR no-call list, as well as the national list, and my number is also unlisted.  She said she'd mark me down on their no-call list, and I lost my temper.  I said I've repeatedly told them not to call me, so why do they keep doing it?  I said SOMEBODY on her end of the line needs to PAY ATTENTION and stop harassing people who have specifically requested that they never be called again.  In response, she just repeated what she said before, that she'd mark me down.  Obviously, nobody there ever take the time to check these lists.  (Actually, I don't think they even bother to cross off my name and number, despite what they've said, because the calls keep coming.)  Every time they call, I file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry, hoping that someone, somewhere, will finally put a stop to these calls.  Maybe if more people would take the few seconds it requires to lodge a complaint, they'll finally do something.

After posting the above message and filing yet another complaint with the national no-call registry, I decided to call the "Senior Dept," intending to ask for a supervisor and so I could demand to be removed from their list of people to annoy.  Instead I got a recording that said they had been calling me in response to my request for information on Medicare (which was a lie), but if I wanted to be placed on THEIR no-call list, just leave them a message saying so.  Since when do these "businesses" have their OWN no-call lists, and why don't they have to abide by the national no-call list?  I want these people to STOP CALLING ME!!!

Well, they called me again this morning.  This time the guy began by saying "this call may be monitored....." so I interrupted him with two words that can't be written here, and then I hung up before he could say another word.

I went ahead and answered their survey questions when "Senior Department" called, but in the end realized I had been a sucker.  They wanted to know which insurances my husband & I have (they knew his name), how old we were, what my favorite color was!! and then wanted me to hold while I spoke to a supervisor to verify that "he" had talked to  me, who got on immediately.  He repeated something I had said,l or asked me something, and then I asked him why he had to verify that, since there was no contract between he and myself, etc...anyway, I then felt like a fool.  They were fishing for information!!

Our US Government lies to us.   The national do not call list is for suckers.  No matter how often you complain or update your information, you will still get the calls because our government does not care.

Survey
I received a call from "Senior Dept" from a guy who said his name was Bradley, saying he was taking a survey.  He started asking me questions about my health insurance that I considered extremely intrusive, and when I asked him where he got my name, he said that I'd been mailed a postcard containing the survey information and that I had returned it, and he said that's why he was calling me.  I told him I'd never received such a postcard and would never have filled it out and returned it anyway.  I then told him that I'm on the no-call list.  He said thank you and hung up.  I resent receiving such calls, and I'm especially angry about being lied to regarding this postcard that I supposedly returned, giving them the green light to call me.  I want to be left alone, which is why I'm on the no-call list!
